Position Overview
We are seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to join Telco Business Planning and design and implement the data, analytics, and business-intelligence capabilities that convert Telco operational information into scalable decision support. This role will develop analytical models, dashboards, and decision tools that connect program delivery, network deployment, financial performance, risk, capacity, and operational outcomes.
This position supports Program Delivery & Governance, Network Planning, Finance, Engineering, Operations, and digital-platform teams. The analyst will translate business questions into data requirements and analytical products; integrate information from multiple source systems; establish consistent measures and data definitions; and create repeatable insight that improves prioritization, investment decisions, deployment planning, and performance management.
The ideal candidate combines business and financial judgment with strong technical analytics capabilities. Success requires the ability to understand how operating decisions affect cost, schedule, risk, and value; build the data products needed to evaluate those relationships; and communicate conclusions clearly to technical and executive audiences.
Key Responsibilities
Business Intelligence & Decision Products (25%)
Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards, analytical models, and decision-support tools for Telco Engineering & Operations
Translate leadership and operating questions into measurable key performance indicators, analytical logic, data requirements, and intuitive visualizations
Develop drill-through analytics that connect executive indicators to programs, markets, gateway deployments, milestones, costs, vendors, risks, and underlying operational drivers
Automate recurring analysis and reporting to reduce dependence on manually maintained spreadsheets and presentations
Data Integration & Analytical Modeling (25%)
Integrate schedule, milestone, cost, risk, inventory, deployment, capacity, engineering, and operational data into reusable analytical datasets
Develop and maintain dimensional and semantic data models that support consistent analysis across Telco programs and planning cycles
Use SQL, Power Query, application programming interfaces (APIs), and other integration methods to transform source-system data into analysis-ready information
Partner with Information Technology and Digital Platforms on governed integrations, scalable architecture, access, refresh, and production support
Financial & Operational Performance Analytics (20%)
Connect financial and operational measures to explain cost, schedule, capacity, quality, and delivery-performance trade-offs
Develop variance, trend, scenario, and root-cause analyses that identify performance drivers, emerging risks, and value-improvement opportunities
Partner with Finance to reconcile actuals, forecasts, budgets, and operational drivers and provide transparent views of capital and operating performance
Convert analytical findings into clear recommendations for prioritization, deployment sequencing, resource allocation, and corrective action
Program Delivery, Risk & Schedule Intelligence (15%)
Integrate schedule and milestone data into analytical models that identify critical-path exposure, milestone variance, deployment dependencies, and delivery trends
Develop analytics, reporting, and tooling requirements that provide visibility into risks, issues, dependencies, change activity, aging, ownership, and program impact
Create analytical views of stage-gate readiness, change activity, delivery health, and cross-program dependencies using authoritative source data
Support Program Delivery & Governance with scalable analytics while process ownership and source-record maintenance remain with the accountable delivery teams
Data Quality, Governance & Continuous Improvement (15%)
Define and maintain common business logic, metric definitions, dimensional relationships, data lineage, ownership, and refresh expectations
Implement automated data-quality, validation, and reconciliation controls and work with source owners to resolve issues at the origin
Establish traceability from dashboards and analytical outputs to authoritative systems of record
Prototype new analytical capabilities and transition scalable solutions into governed production environments
