the posting

At Julius Baer, we celebrate and value the individual qualities you bring, enabling you to be impactful, to be entrepreneurial, to be empowered, and to create value beyond wealth. Let’s shape the future of wealth management together.

The CIO Office Global Equity & Fixed Income is responsible for managing the Bank's in-house global single asset class strategies and Global Income Opportunities (GIO) across mandates, funds, and actively managed certificates (AMCs). As a Business Manager, you will partner directly with the sub-unit head to drive key operational and strategic initiatives, ensuring the sub-unit meets its objectives across performance, business growth, risk management, and workforce development.

Acting as a central hub for cross-functional coordination, you will deliver impactful analysis, enforce strong governance, and optimise processes for greater efficiency and scalability. You will report to the Head of CIO Office Global Equity and Fixed Income, with a dotted line to the Head of CIO Office Business Management.

YOUR CHALLENGE

Business and financial management: Own financial planning, cost control, and budget tracking for the sub-unit. Prepare executive reports, business updates, and data-driven analyses to support management decision-making and ensure efficient resource allocation.

Project and stakeholder coordination: Drive cross-functional initiatives from concept to delivery. Prepare business cases and new product proposals, support the tracking of key projects, and implement organisational and process improvements across the wider team.

Communication and messaging: Ensure consistent, sharp messaging for the sub-unit's product strategies. Develop and maintain internal and client-ready collateral, including intranet content, monthly updates, and pitchbooks, aligning storylines across various client materials.

Risk management and governance: Support audits and internal or external reviews. Take ownership of sub-unit service level agreements (SLAs), maintain governance frameworks, and manage the lifecycle of business-specific processes. Identify training needs, oversee incident remediation, and contribute to management reporting on risk.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in financial services, consulting, or a relevant business management role.
  • Strong commercial judgement and business acumen, with a broad understanding of financial markets and products. Knowledge of investment or fund management is a plus.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and governance standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex topics, analyse broad data sets, and develop compelling, actionable narratives.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to effectively engage and manage stakeholders of diverse backgrounds and seniorities.
  • Structured approach to planning and organising, combined with an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong sense of accountability.
  • Fluency in English is required; German or additional languages are a plus.
