About the Role

We're looking for a Business Operations Assistant to help keep the day-to-day running smoothly as we grow. You'll support our Business Operations team with facilities and hospitality needs, general administrative requests, and ad hoc requests as needed. This is a hands-on role for a student or someone early in their career who is organized, detail-oriented, and wants to learn about facilities operations for a growing start-up company.

Responsibilities

Ensure maintenance of facilities at our Torrance and Long Beach sites, working with outside vendors to keep both locations running smoothly

Order and stock snacks, office supplies, and kitchen essentials so teams always have what they need

Plan and set up hospitality and catering for team lunches, meetings, and events

Prepare and ship packages to remote employees, and manage incoming mail and package pickup and delivery as needed

Handle supply runs and local errands between sites as needed (reliable transportation required; mileage reimbursed)

Assist People & Talent with new hire onboarding needs

Support team with ad hoc administrative requests, including printing and other day-to-day needs

Requirements

Currently enrolled in school, a recent graduate, or 0-2 years of work experience

Organized and detail-oriented, with a track record of following through

Clear written and verbal communication

Comfortable handling confidential information

Available 20 hours per week on-site in Torrance, CA

Ability to lift 25 pounds or more

Reliable mode of transportation for local driving during the workday, if needed

Preferred Requirements

Coursework in business, operations, or related

Prior experience in an admin, office, retail, or customer-facing job

Experience with Google Workspace or similar tools

Comfortable in spreadsheets (sorting, filtering, basic formulas)

Compensation

Pay range: $18 to $25 per hour
