About fonio

$9M+ ARR, 10,000+ customers. We got there in under 12 months. We build AI voice agents for small and medium-sized businesses so they never miss a call again and can focus on the work they actually love. Our AI handles every call automatically. But voice is just the start. Our vision: the fully automated AI suite for SMBs. We live ownership. You are end-to-end responsible for your projects and tasks. No politics, few meetings, direct feedback. At fonio you build with the smartest and most ambitious people in the scene. Join one of Europe’s fastest-growing startups – now in Brazil.

Your role

Brazil is one of our biggest bets. We are 7 people today, 20 by the end of the year, 100 by mid next year. We are opening our first Brazilian office in Campinas right now.

You are the right hand of Fernando, our Country Manager, and the person who makes this growth actually work: office, people, finance, admin, projects. Fernando sells and leads. You make sure everything around it runs, and you see problems before they hit the team. Nothing gets built at this pace without you – you are one of the most important hires we make in Brazil this year.

This is not an assistant role. You own your topics end to end, build the processes from scratch and grow into leading them as the team grows.

Office & Facilities

Set up and own the Campinas office: fit-out, contractors, equipment, supplies, food & drinks

First point of contact for everything office – you solve problems before others notice them

Scale the space with the team: from 7 desks to 100, including the next move when we outgrow the first office

People Operations

Every new hire is fully set up from day one: desk, access, equipment, first-week plan

Onboarding in waves: run the process for 5, 10, 20 people starting at once, hand in hand with our People team in Vienna

Local HR admin: contracts, documents, time off, offboarding – coordinated with our Brazilian accountant and payroll partner

Team events and offsites for the Brazil team, hosting visits from Vienna

Finance & Admin

Local invoices, expenses and payments run correctly and on time and reach Finance in Vienna clean

Local registrations, insurance, supplier contracts, point of contact for our Brazilian accountant and legal counsel

Structure in the local numbers: budget tracking, cost overview, no surprises

Right hand to the Country Manager

Prepare and follow up on leadership meetings, decisions and action items

Track the numbers that matter for Brazil and keep them visible to Fernando and the founders

Own projects that fall between the chairs: new tools, new processes, new locations

Bridge to Vienna: you know what HQ needs and make sure Brazil delivers it without slowing down

What you bring

Recent graduate from a top business school or first job under your belt, ideally with a startup, consulting or ops internship

Ownership mentality: you see problems before they escalate and fix them proactively

Generalist by nature: you want to touch everything, learn fast and are not above any task

Organized down to the detail without losing sight of the big picture

Comfortable with Brazilian bureaucracy and vendors – or ready to become the person who is

Native Portuguese, fluent English (our company language). German or Spanish is a plus, not a must

Based in or willing to move to Campinas

What we offer

A front-row seat to scaling a company from 7 to 100 people in one country in under a year

Real ownership from day one: office, budget, processes – you build them

Direct line to the Country Manager, the Chief of Staff and the founders – short paths, fast decisions

Equity – you build it, you should own a piece of it

Health insurance, 30 days vacation

Unlimited budget with the right ROI

Equipment of your choice – whatever makes you happy

Regular team offsites

The growth story of one of Europe’s fastest-scaling startups, now in Brazil

Application process

15 min intro

30 min skill interview with Country Manager Fernando

20 min culture fit with Chief of Staff Lukas or one of the founders
