  • Develop and recommend business-unit strategies, defining where to play, how to win, and the strategic choices required to drive sustainable growth over the next 1–5 years.
  • Identify and drive strategic initiatives that unlock near-, mid-, and long-term business and financial value, establishing clear priorities, execution roadmaps, milestones, and accountability to accelerate results.
  • Lead complex, high-impact strategic initiatives from problem definition through recommendation and implementation, ensuring measurable business outcomes.
  • Structure and execute rigorous, hypothesis-driven analyses, synthesizing insights into clear, data-backed recommendations for senior executives.
  • Serve as a trusted thought partner to business leaders on topics including growth strategy, portfolio management, competitive positioning, investment priorities, risk management, and new business opportunities.
  • Drive strategic choices across product and portfolio roadmaps, go-to-market models, partnerships, acquisitions, and adjacent growth opportunities.
  • Lead large, cross-functional teams across businesses, functions, and geographies to build alignment, influence decision-making, and ensure successful execution.
  • Partner effectively across HP’s global matrix organization to translate strategy into actionable plans and deliver results at scale.
  • Advance the strategic capabilities of the organization through thought leadership, best practices, and innovative approaches to strategy development and problem solving.

Education & Experience Recommended

  • 10+ years of experience in strategy, management consulting, corporate strategy, business planning, or related strategic roles, with a demonstrated track record of driving business impact.
  • Prior experience at a top-tier management consulting firm is strongly preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical rigor, and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to break down complex business challenges into actionable insights and recommendations.

  • Broad business acumen with the ability to connect market, customer, financial, operational, and technology insights to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including executive presentations, stakeholder management, negotiation, and influence without authority.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage complex, cross-functional projects, balancing multiple priorities while delivering high-quality outcomes in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong partnership and relationship-building skills, with credibility and judgment to serve as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders.
