Description

MJ23 is a collaboration between Cornerstone Restaurant Group (CRG) and the greatest athlete of his generation, Michael Jordan. Located in the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut, MJ23 is a modern sports bar featuring elevated bar food, craft beer and cocktails, and plenty of TVs to enjoy the game. While our delicious burgers and wings attract customer attention, it is CRG's Heartfelt Hospitality that creates a truly memorable experience for our guests.

Busser Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly, gracious, and responsive service to create a memorable dining experience for guests.
  • Clear dishes from a table as is appropriate.
  • Carefully watch tables and fill water glasses and other drinks as appropriate.
  • Clean and reset tables and transport dirty dishes to dish area.
  • Pull and arrange tables and chairs for guests when necessary.
  • Promptly deliver food and items ordered by guests without delay and in a highly presentable manner according to table and position number.
  • Check each order for any special instructions and/or allergy restrictions before delivering order to the table.
  • Be fully aware of service flow in dining area.
  • Perform ongoing cleaning of workstations according to established restaurant procedures. This includes pre-shift, post-shift, daily, weekly, and monthly duties as assigned by management.
  • Support servers in other duties as needed.
  • With the guidance of GM, you may be asked to train new bussers.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • High school education or equivalent
  • Able to perform food runner and busser duties
  • Able to deal with guests in a professional manner while maintaining a composed demeanor in high-stress situations
  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds on a regular basis
  • Frequent long periods of standing and walking are expected during the workday
  • Ability to reach for objects and stoop or bend as needed to perform job duties
  • This position may involve visual and auditory tasks, including the ability to see and hear adequately to perform job functions
