C & I Project Delivery Manager

The Role

The Project Delivery Manager will take ownership of customer projects following receipt of a purchase order, managing all post-order activities through to successful delivery.

Acting as the primary point of contact between the customer, sales team, factory, suppliers and logistics providers, the Project Manager will coordinate design

development, project planning, scheduling and delivery activities. This role will ensure

projects are delivered on time, within scope and to customer requirements, allowing the sales team to remain focused on business development and order conversion.

Key responsibilities include:

Attend project handover meetings with Sales following receipt of customer purchase orders.

Develop and maintain project programmes, schedules and key milestones.

Coordinate all project activities from order receipt through to delivery.

Act as the primary customer contact throughout the project lifecycle.

Manage design reviews, technical approvals and communication between customers and manufacturing teams.

Coordinate factory activities, supplier inputs and logistics arrangements to ensure on-time delivery.

Monitor project progress, identify risks and implement corrective actions where required.

Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to customers and internal stakeholders.

Manage project documentation, action logs and change requests.

What You’ll Bring Skills & Experience Essential

Project management experience within engineering, manufacturing, power generation or a similar technical industry.

Strong organisational, planning and communication skills.

Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders and managing project schedules.

Customer-facing experience and ability to manage relationships effectively.

Desirable

Experience with bespoke engineered products.

Knowledge of generator, power generation or industrial equipment sectors.

Project management qualification (PRINCE2, APM, PMP or equivalent).

Success Measures

Projects delivered on time and in line with customer requirements.

Effective management of project schedules and key milestones.

High levels of customer satisfaction.

Reduction in post-order workload for the sales team.

Clear communication and coordination between customers, suppliers and factory teams.
