Carbon Analyst Officer

Job Description Summary :

We are seeking a highly motivated professional to support our corporate carbon management initiatives. In this role, you will play a key part in calculating, managing, and reporting corporate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Your focus will include data analysis and helping optimize our palm oil products to achieve lower GHG intensity. Based in Jakarta, you will join an integrated team of experienced climate change and sustainability experts.

Job Description :

• •Data Collection & Collation: Gather operational data and information regarding the GHG performance of mills and supplier estates to support corporate emission reports.
• •Database Management: Ensure the accuracy of emission records and activity reports to maintain a centralized internal GHG database.
• •Presentations & Insights: Create presentation materials detailing the GHG emissions performance of our mills and supply chain.
• •Process Review & Product Optimization: Evaluate sustainability workflows for GHG calculations and support the development of low-emission palm oil products.
• •Department Administration: Manage administrative tasks, budgeting, and asset inventories for the department.
• •Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with other divisions to implement decarbonization initiatives, such as regenerative agriculture and energy efficiency projects.

Job Requirement :

• •Min Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
• •Analytical Skills: Strong research abilities with advanced proficiency in managing datasets using Microsoft Excel.
• •Software Expertise: Experience with SimaPro or other Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) software is highly advantageous.
• •Communication: Exceptional attention to detail and excellent written communication skills in English
• •Work Style: Proven ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team environment
• •Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with global carbon accounting standards, LCA methodologies, sustainability frameworks, or international environmental reporting is a strong plus.
• •Willing to be placed in Head Office Jakarta
