Description

Charis Hearts is seeking an experienced, highly organized Caregiver Recruiter to support our established Medicaid home care operations. This is a fast-paced, high-volume position where recruiting is an ongoing operational priority.

Unlike traditional recruiting focused on occasional vacancies, this role requires continuous, proactive caregiver recruitment to meet the demands of new client referrals, existing service commitments, and changing staffing needs. Success requires urgency, detailed documentation, effective teamwork, and reliable follow-through.

High-Volume Recruitment

  • Manage a continuous flow of applicants while building a ready pipeline of qualified caregivers across assigned service areas.
  • Source candidates through Indeed, referrals, community outreach, and other recruiting channels; screen applicants and conduct interviews.
  • Prioritize recruiting efforts around new member referrals, existing coverage needs, caregiver availability, and geographic demand.
  • Maintain timely candidate communication and follow-up through hiring and onboarding; identify barriers and keep candidates moving.

Documentation, Tracking & Accountability

  • Keep complete, accurate, and timely records of applicant contacts, screening results, interviews, follow-up, and hiring status.
  • Track recruiting activity, candidate progress, staffing gaps, and hiring outcomes; provide regular, actionable updates to leadership.
  • Maintain organized, current applicant records in recruiting systems and follow established documentation procedures.

Team Collaboration & Staffing Support

  • Work closely with Service Coordinators to anticipate new-member staffing needs and respond to urgent and ongoing coverage priorities.
  • Coordinate with HR to help qualified candidates complete required hiring and onboarding steps promptly.
  • Communicate recruiting priorities, applicant availability, and obstacles clearly with coordinators and leadership; support retention efforts.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of professional recruiting experience OR service coordination experience that included direct caregiver recruitment responsibilities.
  • Experience screening applicants, conducting interviews, and managing candidate follow-up.
  • Strong documentation, organization, communication, and time-management skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated reliability, initiative, accountability, and ability to manage competing priorities in a high-demand environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
  • Ability to learn and effectively use company-specific software and digital systems.
  • Strong general computer skills, including email, electronic documentation, data entry, file management, and web-based applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High-volume caregiver recruitment or healthcare staffing experience.
  • Home care, personal care, or home- and community-based services experience; familiarity with TennCare CHOICES.
  • Experience using Indeed, applicant tracking systems, or other recruitment management platforms.
  • Experience with AxisCare or comparable home care scheduling and agency management platforms.
