CASE MANAGER – APS (77-26)

ADULT PROTECTIVE SERVICES

Job Status: Permanent

Hours of Work: 14 hours per week

Base office : Parry Sound

Competition #: 77-26

Purpose of the Position: Assisting adults with developmental disabilities to become as independent as possible by ensuring the provision of social support services.

Education and Qualifications:

Developmental Service Worker Diploma or equivalent

Experience working with individuals living with a developmental disability in the community

Experience providing case management services

Commitment to the rights of individuals with developmental disabilities

Ability to work autonomously as well as cooperatively within a team environment in a rural setting

Knowledge of developmental disabilities and the social service system

Willingness to participate in community education or community relation activities and/or community development activities

Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills

A valid Ontario G or G2 driver’s license and reliable means of transportation

Experience with computers and Microsoft Office programs

Indigenous cultural awareness and education is an asset.

A willingness to work various shifts during days/evenings (including weekends and statutory holidays)

Salary: $28.95 to $39.09 per hour commensurate with qualifications and experience
