We have a fantastic opportunity for a Casual Registered Nurse to join our friendly and experienced nursing team at our Southport clinic on the beautiful Gold Coast.

You'll be joining a close-knit, supportive team who are passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred cancer care. Working alongside experienced Nurses, Radiation Therapists, Radiation Oncologists and other healthcare professionals, you'll play an important role in supporting patients throughout their radiation therapy journey.

Previous oncology experience isn't essential. If you're an experienced Registered Nurse with a genuine passion for patient care, our team will provide the training and support you need to develop your skills in radiation oncology.

This is a casual position primarily based at Southport, with the opportunity to provide occasional shift coverage at our Tugun clinic.

More specifically you will:

• •Deliver high-quality, patient-centred nursing care, supporting patients' physical, emotional and psychological needs.
• •Provide direct nursing care, including patient education, wound management and medication administration.
• •Support patients and their families throughout their radiation therapy journey, providing reassurance, information and practical guidance.
• •Work collaboratively with Radiation Oncologists, Radiation Therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
• •Assess and monitor patients, identifying concerns and escalating appropriately to the clinical team.
• •Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure effective communication and patient handovers.
• •Follow clinical guidelines, medication management protocols and best practice radiation oncology nursing standards.
• •Contribute to a positive, supportive team environment focused on delivering an exceptional patient experience.

We're looking for a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in delivering exceptional patient care.

You'll ideally have:

• •Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• •A minimum of 2 years' post-graduate nursing experience (preferred).
• •Strong clinical assessment skills and experience in wound care management.
• •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and their families.
• •A compassionate, patient-focused approach to nursing care.
• •Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• •A commitment to clinical excellence, patient safety and continuous professional development.
• •Previous oncology or radiation oncology nursing experience would be highly regarded, but is not essential.
