CDL Driver

General Job Scope

• The CDL (Class A) Logistics Truck Driver (Tractor & Straight Truck & Boom Truck) is responsible for
• operating a 48’ tractor-trailer truck and a 22’ straight truck that transports fabricated ductwork, pipe,
• construction materials, tools, and HVAC equipment to and from construction sites.

• Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• •Actively promote and enforce THG Safety Program, policies and procedures, including the goals
• of a Zero Injury Program
• •Prepares, receives, and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick up of goods
• to ensure timely service.
• •Loads, secures and unloads cargo.
• •Maintains cellular and email contact with dispatch to receive delivery or pick up instructions or to
• receive notice of changes in scheduled delivery or pick up.
• •Maintains logs of travel and cargo according to federal and state regulations.
• •Responsible for light vehicle maintenance, daily inspection, and presentation.
• •Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• •Must display proven ability to operate both tandem axle tractors with 48’ trailers as well as 22’
• straight trucks
• •In order to operate Knuckle Boom, must display an active NCCCO & City of Chicago Knuckle
• Boom Operators license
• •Spot Trailers within campus
• •Aid in pulling Tool Orders (If required)
• •Aid in maintaining a clean & organized warehouse (If required)
• •All other duties as assigned

• Experience:
• •Minimum (5) years CDL experience required
• •Knowledge of DOT Rules & Regulations
• •Proficiency with cellular & GPS devices

• •Requires an ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure
• •Requires a great attention to detail, accuracy and an ability to prioritize and multi-task
• •Must be dependable, organized and self-motivated
• •Communication with multiple divisions of the company
• •Ability to react to changes, flexibility, while maintaining efficiency
