Job Description:

• •Administers prescribed medication via inhalation and oxygen therapy according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
• •Monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions and treatments accurately and timely.
• •Educates patients and family members about illnesses and clinical interventions.
• •Adheres to department standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensures patient documentation is accurate and complete.
• •Cleans and stocks respiratory equipment regularly.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• •Must possess good verbal and written communications skills. [Required]
• •Ability to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions independently [Required]
• •Knowledge of outpatient hospital services. [Required]
• •Ability to work closely with physicians. [Required]
• •Ability to demonstrate knowledge, training and experience in hyperbaric chamber maintenance and minor repair [Preferred]
• •Operational knowledge of NFPA99, gas handling, Hyperbaric Safety Codes, PVHOI and 2 CGA and other safety related Guidelines. [Preferred]

Education:

• •High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
• •Vocational/Technical School [Preferred]

Field of Study:

Completion of a 40 hour Underwater and Hyperbaric Medicine Society (UHMS) or National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine Technology (NBDHMT) approved Hyperbaric Medicine Introductory Course Required

Work Experience:

1+ year of clinical hyperbaric experience [Preferred]

• •Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) [Required] OR

• •Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

Pay Range:

• $21.77 - $40.48
• Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)
