Your role
- In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and updating Building Technical Specifications (BTS) to ensure they are aligned with project requirements and applicable design standards. Working closely with clients, contractors, and technical stakeholders, you will conduct gap analyses, gather and assess technical data, coordinate specification updates, and manage the review process through to final issue. This position requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders throughout the document lifecycle.
- • Lead specification reviews and gap analyses by assessing existing Building Technical Specifications, identifying required updates, and evaluating their suitability against project requirements and design standards.
- • Coordinate technical data collection and stakeholder engagement through participation in project kick-off meetings, collaboration with clients and contractors, and the gathering of information necessary to support specification development and updates.
- • Manage specification updates and approvals by incorporating applicable changes into technical documentation, responding to review comments, and delivering finalised Building Technical Specifications for project implementation.
Your profile
- We are seeking a detail-oriented technical professional with experience in engineering specifications, technical documentation, and stakeholder collaboration. The successful candidate will be comfortable reviewing complex technical information, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement, and coordinating with clients, contractors, and project teams to deliver high-quality documentation. Strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential for success in this role.
- • Strong technical and analytical capability, with experience reviewing engineering specifications, conducting gap analyses, assessing technical requirements, and identifying necessary updates to documentation.
- • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams, facilitate technical discussions, and manage review feedback through to resolution.
- • High attention to detail and organisational skills, with experience producing and maintaining controlled technical documents, managing competing priorities, and ensuring the timely delivery of accurate, high-quality outputs in line with project requirements.
