Civil Supervisor- Egypt

Supervision & Quality

§ Supervise and inspect daily civil construction activities (earthworks, foundations, roads, drainage, cable trenches) against approved drawings, specifications and method statements.

§ Witness and record critical quality checkpoints, including rebar inspections, concrete pours, compaction tests and survey set-outs, and maintain ITP and inspection records.

§ Monitor and validate concrete batching, curing, compaction and other QA/QC civil test results, maintaining an auditable quality record for every foundation and structure.

§ Identify and report non-conformances and coordinate corrective actions with the civil works contractor.

HSE Compliance

§ Enforce site HSE rules and permit-to-work procedures for all civil activities under his/her supervision.

§ Conduct daily toolbox talks, site walks and safety observations for the civil works crews.

§ Stop unsafe work immediately and escalate HSE concerns to the Civil Manager and HSE team.

Progress & Reporting

§ Track daily and weekly progress of civil works against the construction schedule and report deviations to the Civil Manager.

§ Maintain accurate site records, daily reports, photographs and progress measurement to support contractor certification.

§ Support tracking of materials and equipment (concrete, aggregates, rebar, precast elements) on site.

Coordination

§ Coordinate civil works interfaces with the electrical and E&I supervisors and other site disciplines to avoid clashes and delays.

§ Liaise with surveyors and QA/QC personnel to ensure setting-out and as-built records are accurate.

§ Support the Civil Manager in contractor meetings and site inspections.

Qualification:

§ Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering (or equivalent technical qualification); registration with the Egyptian Syndicate of Engineers preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

§ Minimum 10 years of experience in civil works supervision on infrastructure or energy construction sites.

§ At least 5 years of direct site experience on wind power projects in Egypt (WTG foundations, roads, balance-of-plant civil works).

§ Egyptian national required; fluent Arabic and working English.

Job Specific Skills:

§ Practical knowledge of concrete works, earthworks, surveying/setting-out and quality inspection procedures.

§ Ability to read civil and structural drawings and specifications.

§ Working knowledge of HSE and permit-to-work systems.

§ Basic MS Office and site reporting tools.

§ Strong on-site communication and problem-solving skills; fluent Arabic, working English.
