Alexander Group provides go-to-market consulting services to marketing, sales, service and talent leaders. With over 40 years of developing practical, executable solutions, we are singularly focused on helping commercial teams unlock their full potential and reach new revenue goals. With a robust network of offices, Alexander Group maximizes growth opportunities for our clients around the globe.

Founded in 1985, we’ve served more than 3,000 companies around the world, across all industries. This experience gives us not only a highly sophisticated set of best practices to design go-to-market strategy—we also have a rich repository of industry data that informs all of our recommendations.

Our dedication to revenue growth and sales strategy has led to:

  • More than 70% of our clients being Fortune 500 corporations
  • Project work in more than 25 countries
  • Extensive industry experience in B2B markets

Position Overview:

The Client Development Manager accelerates pipeline growth within a defined portfolio of strategic Financial Services accounts, with measurable objectives tied to qualified opportunity creation. Success requires commercial judgment, fluency in banking, financial services, insurance, and fintech priorities, and the ability to engage senior commercial leaders as a credible representative of Alexander Group's thought leadership, research, and services.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strong understanding of Alexander Group's services, financial services perspectives, value propositions, and points of differentiation.
  • Maintain actionable account plans, relationship maps, whitespace priorities, and engagement plans based on client strategy, market dynamics, engagement history, and business signals.
  • Expand executive access across buying centers, functions, business units, and leadership levels through insight-led interactions that build credibility and uncover strategic priorities.
  • Represent Alexander Group at executive briefings, virtual roundtables, conferences, research discussions, and other client-facing interactions.
  • Connect client needs and signals to relevant Alexander Group capabilities; conduct early discovery and involve consulting leaders when deeper exploration is warranted.
  • Coordinate consulting leaders, Marketing, Client Development, and subject-matter experts to create a consistent client experience and sustain momentum between major seller interactions.
  • Establish an operating cadence for assigned accounts, track commitments and next steps, and surface stalled activity or changing account conditions.
  • Deliver concise, decision-oriented updates on relationship expansion, qualified engagement, account strategy, and commercial progress.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and professional experience.
  • Seven or more years of experience in consultative business development, strategic account management, client development, or a comparable role serving complex B2B financial services customers.
  • Ability to translate account or market strategy into practical engagement plans and maintain momentum across long, complex buying journeys.
  • Experience mapping complex financial services accounts, identifying buying centers and whitespace, developing senior relationships, and connecting organizational challenges to relevant solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage senior executives, communicate thought leadership, expand relationships, and connect organizational challenges to relevant solutions.
  • Proven ability to influence and coordinate senior internal stakeholders without formal authority.
  • Strong commercial judgment, including the ability to prioritize accounts, relationships, signals, and opportunities with limited direction.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including concise, executive-level synthesis and messaging.
  • Working proficiency with Salesforce or a comparable CRM and experience using account-intelligence, productivity, or relationship-development tools.
  • Experience serving banking, financial services, insurance, payments, fintech, wealth management, or capital markets organizations strongly preferred. Professional services, management consulting, advisory, financial technology, research, information services, or other expertise-led business experience is a plus.

This is not a high-volume outbound sales, campaign-execution, or account-coordination role. Success depends on senior executive engagement, commercial credibility, complex relationship navigation, account-team coordination, and sustained progress across longer engagement journeys.

Salary: $110,000 - 130,000. Bonus eligible.

EEO Employer. Desired Work Eligibility: Eligible to work in the U.S. with no current or future restrictions or sponsorship. TN visa accepted.
