Position Summary
The Client Executive (CE) is an individual-contributor sales role responsible for growing NTT DATA's footprint within a portfolio of Manufacturing and Automotive clients in Thailand. The CE owns the end-to-end sales cycle — from account planning and relationship development through opportunity qualification, solution positioning, commercial negotiation, and deal closure — carrying a personal annual sales (booking/order-intake) target of USD 10 million. This role requires deep understanding of manufacturing and automotive industry dynamics, strong C-level relationship-building skills, and the ability to orchestrate NTT DATA's full portfolio (Applications, Cloud, Data & AI, Infrastructure, Business Process Services) to solve client business challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Own and deliver an individual annual sales target of USD 10 million across new and existing Manufacturing & Automotive accounts.
Build and execute account plans that identify whitespace, key stakeholders, and multi-year growth opportunities.
Drive both net-new logo acquisition and expansion (farming) revenue within the assigned territory/account portfolio.
Develop and maintain senior/C-level relationships with manufacturing and automotive clients (e.g., CIO, CDO, COO, VP Manufacturing, Plant Directors, Procurement).
Act as the trusted advisor for digital transformation, smart factory, supply chain, and enterprise IT initiatives.
Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, qualification, solutioning, proposal development, commercial negotiation, contracting, and closing.
Work closely with presales, delivery, and industry solution teams to shape client-specific value propositions.
Prepare and present proposals, RFP/RFI responses, and business cases aligned to client priorities.
Maintain accurate pipeline, forecast, and opportunity data in the CRM in line with NTT DATA sales governance.
Collaborate cross-functionally with delivery, marketing, partner (e.g., hyperscaler/OEM), and global account teams to bring the best of NTT DATA to the client.
Monitor manufacturing and automotive industry trends (Industry 4.0, EV transition, smart manufacturing, supply chain resilience) to proactively identify client opportunities.
Represent NTT DATA at industry events, client forums, and executive briefings to build brand presence in the sector.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, IT, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
Minimum 8-10+ years of B2B sales experience in IT services, systems integration, or technology solutions, with a proven track record of carrying and achieving large individual sales targets.
Demonstrated experience selling into Manufacturing and/or Automotive industry clients in Thailand, with an existing network of client relationships strongly preferred.
Track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets in the range of several million USD annually.
Strong understanding of enterprise IT, digital transformation, cloud, ERP, data/AI, or smart manufacturing solutions (prior experience selling these solutions preferred).
Excellent consultative selling, negotiation, and executive presentation skills.
Strong commercial and financial acumen — able to build business cases and structure complex deals.
Fluent in Thai and business-level English (written and spoken); Japanese language skills are an advantage given NTT DATA's Japanese client and parent-company base.
Experience working with global or matrixed organizations, coordinating across delivery, presales, and partner teams.
Preferred Attributes
Existing relationships with manufacturing/automotive OEMs, Tier 1/2 suppliers, or industrial conglomerates in Thailand.
Familiarity with major automotive/manufacturing IT ecosystems (SAP, PLM, MES, IoT platforms) and hyperscaler partnerships (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
Entrepreneurial, self-driven, and comfortable operating with a high degree of individual ownership and accountability.
Strong executive presence with the ability to build trust quickly at C-level.
