  • CLINICAL DIRECTOR – COMPLEX CARE
  • Greenstaff & Clinical24
  • Location: England | Hybrid / Field-based

Greenstaff and Clinical24 are part of ICG Medical, an international healthcare business with a growing portfolio of complex care and community-based services.

As our complex care services continue to develop, we are looking for an experienced Clinical Director – Complex Care to provide senior, hands-on clinical leadership across both businesses.

This is not a purely strategic or corporate clinical role. The successful candidate will remain close to service delivery, working directly with clients, families, nurses and care teams to ensure complex packages are assessed, mobilised and delivered safely and to a consistently high standard.

The role will work closely with Operations, Mobilisation and Compliance, with professional accountability into the Chief Nurse.

  • Key responsibilities:
  • - Provide clinical leadership and oversight across complex care packages.
  • - Undertake and support clinical assessments, care planning and risk assessment.
  • - Ensure appropriate clinical input is in place before new packages are accepted and mobilised.
  • - Support mobilisation of new complex care services and ensure clinical readiness prior to go-live.
  • - Lead on clinical competency, delegation, supervision and development of nurses and care teams.
  • - Visit clients and services regularly to maintain strong clinical oversight and support delivery teams.
  • - Review incidents, complaints and clinical concerns, ensuring learning is translated into improved practice.
  • - Work closely with Operations, Compliance and Mobilisation to ensure services are safe, effective and operationally deliverable.
  • - Support continuous improvement, clinical governance and CQC readiness across complex care services.
  • - Provide practical clinical leadership and intervention where services or packages require additional support.
  • About you:
  • You will be a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration and significant experience working with complex care in community, homecare or a similar environment.
  • We are particularly interested in candidates who have:
  • - Senior clinical leadership experience, ideally at Band 7 level or above.
  • - Strong experience of complex physical health needs and high-acuity care.
  • - Experience assessing and mobilising complex care packages.
  • - Experience training, supervising and assessing staff competency.
  • - A strong understanding of clinical governance, safeguarding and CQC requirements.
  • - The confidence to work independently and make sound clinical decisions.
  • - The ability to combine senior clinical leadership with a practical, hands-on approach.

Regular travel to client homes and service locations will be required, along with some flexibility outside normal office hours where service needs require it.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping and developing a growing complex care service while remaining closely involved in the quality of care delivered to clients.

ICG Medical is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all backgrounds.
