Clinical Director -
- Facility: Camp Baer – Wise Path Recovery Centers
- Location: Morgantown, West Virginia
- Employment Type: Full-Time | Leadership | Exempt
- Anticipated Opening: Winter 2026
Join Camp Baer!
Camp Baer is a new retreat-style substance use disorder treatment center opening in winter 2026 in the wooded hills outside Morgantown, West Virginia. Designed to feel different from a traditional treatment facility, Camp Baer will provide a peaceful, restorative environment where individuals can step away from the pressures of everyday life and focus fully on healing, recovery, connection, and building a meaningful life.
We are looking for an experienced, mission-driven Clinical Director who wants the opportunity to help build something from the ground up.
This is more than maintaining an established clinical program. The Clinical Director will help shape the clinical culture, develop the treatment team, establish strong clinical systems, and create an exceptional patient experience from opening day forward.
Despite its name, Camp Baer is not a traditional camp. It is a premier residential substance use disorder treatment center located in a chalet-style lodge nestled within the wooded mountains of West Virginia. The facility provides high-end, evidence-based care and attracts patients from across the country seeking treatment in a private, restorative setting.
Wise Path Recovery Centers, operated by Ascension Recovery Services, provides integrated behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment grounded in evidence-based, high-quality clinical care. Our culture emphasizes kindness, teamwork, empathy, integrity, excellence, and being deeply mission-driven.
Why Join Camp Baer?
This is an opportunity to:
Help launch a brand-new behavioral health program opening in November 2026.
Build and develop a high-performing clinical team.
Create a strong therapeutic culture from the beginning.
Help shape programming, clinical workflows, and the overall patient experience.
Work in a unique, retreat-style environment surrounded by nature.
Partner closely with experienced behavioral health leaders across Wise Path Recovery Centers and Ascension Recovery Services.
Make a meaningful impact on individuals and families affected by substance use disorders.
What You’ll Do
The Clinical Director provides leadership and oversight for the clinical services of Camp Baer and is responsible for ensuring patients receive high-quality, ethical, evidence-based, person-centered treatment.
Clinical Leadership
Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of the clinical department.
Establish and maintain a strong therapeutic culture focused on dignity, accountability, connection, and long-term recovery.

Ensure clinical services are delivered according to patient needs, treatment plans, and appropriate levels of care.
Promote multiple pathways to recovery and an individualized approach to treatment.
Participate as an active member of the interdisciplinary treatment team.
Build the Program
Because Camp Baer is a new facility opening in November 2026, this leader will play an important role in building the clinical program before and during opening.
Partner with the Executive Director and organizational leadership to implement the clinical model.
Help develop programming schedules, group structure, clinical workflows, documentation expectations, and department processes.
Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and developing clinical team members.
Establish clear expectations for clinical quality, documentation, accountability, and patient experience.
Develop a team culture where clinicians feel supported, challenged, and connected to the mission.
Identify opportunities to continuously improve clinical services as the program grows.

Collaborate with medical, psychiatric, nursing, peer support, case management, and community partners to ensure coordinated treatment for complex co-occurring conditions.
Evaluate clinical outcomes and patient feedback to continuously strengthen specialty programming
Quality, Compliance & Documentation
Ensure clinical documentation is timely, accurate, clinically meaningful, and supports the patient's treatment journey.
Maintain strong standards around the clinical “golden thread” from assessment through treatment planning, services, progress, and discharge.
Ensure compliance with applicable West Virginia requirements, organizational policies, accreditation expectations, HIPAA, and 42 CFR Part 2 .
Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and confidentiality standards.
