CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Summary

Duties

• •You will provide individualized psychological counseling in an embedded university counseling center setting that provides both psychological and nutritional services.
• •You will modify and execute the Midshipmen Development Center’s comprehensive outreach plan to promote the adjustment, well-being, and development of Midshipmen.
• •You will oversee the coordination and integration of outreach activities across the Yard (campus) and with other service academies.
• •You will assess emerging student needs and develop effective primary prevention activities to help foster resilience.
• •You will be a collaborative member of a multidisciplinary staff that supports the well-being of a military academy community.

Qualifications

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying psychological health methods and interventions to counsel clients in a military academy or college setting; 2) Conducting both individual and group counseling with clients; 3) Applying best practices in outreach psycho-education services; 4) Providing input and recommend changes for clinical and administrative processes; 5) Applicants must hold a full, current, and unrestricted license to practice independently as a Clinical or Counseling Psychologist in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States (e.g., Puerto Rico), or the District of Columbia. Education

Applicants must meet the following Basic Requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Clinical psychology: For positions at grades GS-11 and above, satisfactory completion of all the requirements a the doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology is required.
