Build something monumental for Healthcare!
At Tandem Health we’re reimagining healthcare by putting clinicians first. Our platform - designed by clinicians, for clinicians - is built on deep insight into real-world pain points, with intuitive medical notes and workflows that truly support patient care.
We’re a fast-scaling health-tech company backed by top investors and expanding globally. We move fast, stay curious, and believe building something that matters starts with an extraordinary team. If you're passionate about impact and innovation, we'd love to meet you!
About the role
We are looking for a Postdoc-level Lead Clinical Researcher who wants to push the frontier of AI health care research.
You will be an high impact individual contributor in our Medical Product Compliance team, working closely to collaborate with our data, marketing and commercial teams, so the evidence you produce is both scientifically solid and useful to the people who need it.
This is a hands-on role with a high ceiling for output.
What you will do
Design, plan and write well selected and impactful manuscripts and whitepapers from Tandem's existing data, aiming for a publication list which Tandem can proudly use to define the value we provide in relation to the company’s goal objectives.
Help design and deliver randomised controlled trials and other clinical studies with academic partners, from protocol to publication.
Build and maintain relationships with senior academics and clinical collaborators, and keep partner studies on track.
Work with the data team to ensure our products and processes are producing the right data at scale to enable publication of meaningful and impactful results.
Work with the marketing and commercial teams so research questions and outputs are relevant to what customers and decision-makers ask us for.
Work within the medical product compliance team, aligning our clinical evaluations and utilising the data we already generate for publication where appropriate.
Present your work clearly to internal and external audiences, including academic partners and the occasional conference or customer setting.
Keep a clear publication plan with priorities, owners and status, and be honest about trade-offs.
What we are looking for
Must have
Strong sense of agency and influence: Tandem is changing healthcare from the ground up and this creates an opportunity for you to develop new definitions of clinical quality and how to measure it. You will be empowered by our AI tools, where the bottleneck will be your ability to focus and execute towards high-impact goals while ensuring that all involved stakeholders are aligned.
A PhD in a relevant field (for example medicine, public health, epidemiology, health informatics or a related clinical research discipline).
A strong publication record: roughly 10 or more peer-reviewed articles, with first or last authorship on several.
Hands-on experience with clinical research on human data, rather than purely lab-based work.
A track record of high output: you have published efficiently and consistently.
Strong study design skills, and the ability to ideate on the spot and turn a rough question into a feasible, publishable study.
Good communication and people skills. You can explain your work clearly to non-researchers and work well with senior academics.
Fluency in English.
Nice to have
Experience with RCTs or other prospective clinical studies.
Exposure to health tech, AI or digital health research.
Familiarity with medical device regulation, clinical evaluation or post-market clinical follow-up.
An existing network in Nordic or European academic and clinical research.
What success looks like
In your first months, you are fully up to speed on our product modules and data, and have an agreed publication plan.
You efficiently deliver meaningful “quick win” papers/whitepapers in the short term while ensuring these are aligned with parallel research projects which require longer longer timelines for delivery.
At least one academic RCT or partnership study is progressing well under your coordination.
Colleagues in data, marketing and commercial know what you are working on and use your output.
