Job Summary**

Responsible for programming, setting up, and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to inspect complex parts and assemblies, ensuring adherence to quality standards and specifications.

Job Responsibilities**

  • * Develop and write CMM programs using PC-DMIS from 3D models, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
  • * Set up and calibrate CMM equipment, fixtures, and probes for inspection routines.
  • * Operate CMM to perform dimensional inspections of components, sub-assemblies, and finished products.
  • * Interpret and analyze inspection data, generating detailed inspection reports and identifying non-conformances.
  • * Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to troubleshoot measurement issues and improve inspection processes.
  • * Maintain and perform minor preventative maintenance on CMM equipment.
  • * Participate in first article inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final inspections.
  • * Ensure all inspection activities comply with established quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
  • * Train and mentor junior operators on CMM operation and basic programming.
  • * Contribute to the continuous improvement of inspection methods and technologies.

Job Qualifications**

  • * High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Associates Degree in Quality, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • * Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a CMM Programmer Operator in a manufacturing environment.
  • * Proficiency in CMM programming software such as PC-DMIS,
  • * Strong understanding manufacturing processes, CNC Milling, EDM, and plastic injection mold assembly and operation.
  • * Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints, schematics, and 3D models.
  • * Experience with various measurement tools and techniques (e.g., micrometers, calipers, height gauges, optical comparators).
  • * Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • * Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds as needed.

The hourly pay range for this role is $16.01 - $28.08. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
