Torch is seeking a dependable and self-motivated CNC Band Saw Operator/Material & Delivery Driver to support our manufacturing operations. This position will operate CNC band saw equipment, handle and stage raw materials, and make local deliveries and pickups of materials and manufactured parts.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, organized, safety-conscious, and comfortable working independently in a manufacturing environment.

As a CNC Band Saw Operator/Material & Delivery Driver , your duties will include the following but are not limited to:

• •Set up and operate CNC band saw equipment to cut material accurately to job requirements.
• •Read and follow engineering drawings, work instructions, and job travelers.
• •Measure material using tape measures, calipers, and other basic inspection tools.
• •Load, unload, stage, and organize raw materials and finished parts.
• •Maintain material storage areas and assist with material control.
• •Perform routine saw maintenance and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• •Make local deliveries and pickups of materials, parts, and supplies.
• •Safely load, secure, and transport materials and finished parts.
• •Maintain required quality and production documentation.
• •Operate forklifts and overhead cranes as needed.
• •Follow all company quality and safety procedures.

Requirements

• •U.S. Citizenship
• •Associate Degree, or 2 years of formal technical training or equivalent experience.
• •2+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• •Mechanically inclined with the ability to learn CNC band saw setup and operation.
• •Ability to read mechanical drawings and follow written and verbal instructions.
• •Proficient with tape measures and calipers.
• •Ability to safely handle, load, and unload raw materials.
• •Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• •Must be able to pass a DOT physical .
• •Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance .
• •Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• •First-shift availability, generally between 6:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. , with overtime as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• •CNC band saw experience.
• •Forklift and overhead crane experience.
• •Material control or inventory experience.
• •Familiarity with AS9100 quality processes.
• •Previous DoD manufacturing experience.

Workplace safety is a priority at Torch. Candidates must receive and present an OSHA 10-Hour Training Course for General Industry certification (either a card from the Department of Labor or certificate of completion from an authorized trainer) within the first 90 days of employment. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed training prior to employment. Training may be completed online.
