About the Role

As a Coal Quality Tester , you will support the day-to-day operations of the Physical Testing Laboratory. You’ll play a key role in ensuring high-quality analytical results, meeting turnaround time targets, and maintaining the highest standards in safety, client service, and productivity.

This is a permanent position with a rotating roster - 42hr week, 2 Days/2 Nights.

Day to Day

• •Perform ship and train sampling
• •Conduct coal quality and analytical testing, including data recording and validation
• •Review, verify, and authorize analytical results prior to release
• •Ensure compliance with Quality Work Instructions and laboratory standards
• •Process samples efficiently without compromising accuracy or quality
• •Perform general laboratory duties, including cleaning and maintenance of work areas
• •Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient laboratory environment
• •Hands on physical work

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

• •Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• •Ability to perform physical tasks when required
• •Previous coal quality testing experience advantageous but not essential
• •Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment medical
• •Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• •Strong customer service focus and proactive, solutions-based approach
• •High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
