Commercial Analyst - Romania

YOUR MISSION

Romania's commercial team is growing fast and as our first Commercial Analyst in the country, you will own the reporting and analysis behind every commercial decision we make, reporting directly to the Head of Commercial. Over your first 12 to 18 months you will move from supporting the team to steering it, deciding what analysis the country needs to grow and own those projects end to end.

THE JOURNEY

Business reviews: Own the weekly and monthly business reviews for the commercial team. Track daily, weekly and monthly KPIs, spot what is moving and tell the team why.

Promo and ads performance: Be the business partner and advisor to the commercial team on promotions and advertising data. Turn raw data into clear answers on profitability, orders and active promotions.

Dashboards and reporting: Build and maintain the internal dashboards and reports the commercial team uses every day to monitor performance and spot opportunities for our partners.

Partner negotiations: Provide the analysis and build the presentations that support key partner negotiations, and join those meetings where it helps.

Data you can trust: Keep data quality high, with numbers that are accurate and consistent across every dashboard. Recommend clearer metric definitions so everyone reads the same numbers the same way.

Standardise and automate: Turn manual, repeated work into standard processes and automated reporting, so your time goes into analysis rather than rebuilding files.

Cross-functional partnership: Work day to day with the Head of Commercial, account managers and the sales team, and closely with Partner Operations and Marketing & Growth. You will also join an informal community of Glovo analysts across Romania, Serbia, Italy and the regional team, who work on exactly the same topics

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE

At least one professional experience working with data. It does not need to be long or highly complex, but you have done this in a real job, not only at university.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, Engineering or a related business and analytics field.

Comfortable working with data: you can read it, work with it and reach a conclusion, rather than just pulling numbers.

Confident with Google Sheets and Excel for analysis and reporting.

Good presentation skills, and the ability to explain data clearly to people who are not analysts.

Business acumen and curiosity: you want to understand how the business makes money, and you ask questions beyond the request you were given.

Critical reasoning and a hands-on attitude. You'll have to roll up your sleeves.

Strong proficiency in English and Romanian.

Nice to have:

Working knowledge of SQL. You don't need to be an engineer, but you should be able to find your way around a query. We will help you build from there.

Experience with a dashboard tool such as Looker, Tableau or Power BI. Any tool is fine, the thinking matters more than the software.

Python for analysis or automation.

Use of AI tools to speed up repetitive analysis and reporting work.

Passion for end-to-end project management. This role grows into owning projects, not just the data inside them.
