Now Hiring: Commercial Banker – Bay Area
We’re seeking a Commercial Banker located in the Bay Area, to be responsible for meeting and exceeding budgeted deposit, fee income, and commercial lending goals. This will be accomplished through providing superior customer service, cross-selling of products and services, development of new business opportunities, structuring and closing of commercial loans and the maintenance and servicing of the commercial loan portfolio. This role is positioned to service the St. Petersburg/ Tampa market.
What You’ll Contribute:
Relationship Management, Business Development, & Sales Performance
Proactively identify and solicit new loan opportunities.
Achieve sales meeting and sales call goals.
Cross-sell all bank products and services while developing and maintaining whole customer relationships.
Meet deposit and DDA growth goals.
Develop referral relationships with realtors, CPA’s, builders, and other sources.
Actively represent Climate First Bank and its products and services in the community.
Attend networking events.
Commercial Loan Administration, Portfolio Management, & Credit
Solicit, negotiate, and coordinate loan closings.
Monitor credit quality of loan portfolio to ensure proper credit grade application and risk identification for each loan.
Monitor portfolio health including identification and adjustment of proper credit grades and associated risk of each loan since loan inception.
Monitor past-due loans and coordinate collection efforts.
Report on all loans more than 10 days past-due to the loan committee.
Evaluate, authorize, and recommend approval of commercial loans and lines of credit.
Client Service, Advisory, & Community Impact
Provision of superior customer service, including explanation of the loan process and answering questions, advising borrowers on financial status and methods of payment.
Contribute to achievement of relevant sustainability and community goals including Community Reinvestment Act and multi-cultural lending goals.

What Makes a Stand-Out Candidate:
Experience & Education
3+ years of prior commercial banking experience.
Existing portfolio and network.
Experience in a fast-growing banking environment preferred.
Supervisory experience preferred.
Bachelor's degree preferred; preferably in Business Administration or similar business-related degree.

Banking & Fintech Acumen - You are highly educated in financial products and services, applicable regulations and laws. You possess strong overall business acumen and the ability to interpret financial reports and legal documents, ideally with a background in credit.
Tech-Forward and Analytical Thinking - You learn new tools quickly, are excited by innovation and leverage technology to optimize your work product. You are familiar with CRM tools, especially SalesForce.
