Compensation Range

Hourly: $38.15 - $44.75 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)

About This Job

The main purpose of this job is to structure loans, cross sell other bank products, and attract new business to Commerce Bank.

Essential Functions

• •Participate in cross-functional rotations across various business lines to help leverage and develop leadership skills and gain an understanding of the commercial bank
• •Attend community and business functions and participate in networking groups to ensure a positive image for the bank and to establish referral contacts within the marketplace
• •Collaborate with the commercial banking team and product partners to identify prospective clients’ financial needs and cross-sell a full range of products and services
• •Support the comprehensive management of existing commercial relationships to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and retention
• •Facilitate credit requests, including loan structuring, negotiating/pricing, collateral, ensuring adequate loan documentation, and analyzing industry/credit risk
• •Maintain loan reporting and ensure compliance with all bank policies, procedures, regulations, and laws
• •Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

• •Basic knowledge of the banking/accounting/finance field
• •Basic analytical skills using financial and accounting principles
• •Strong relationship building sills
• •Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and meet Commerce Bank’s driving record criteria; ongoing employment may be contingent upon meeting all driving requirements
• •Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• •Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• •Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
• •Basic level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Education & Experience

• •Bachelor's Degree in a Business-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required
• •1+ year finance or financial services experience preferred
• •Demonstrated sales experience preferred

The disclosed range estimate has been adjusted for any applicable differentials (geographic, bilingual, or shift) that could be associated with the position or where it is filled. At Commerce, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $38.15 to $44.75 per hour. This position will be eligible for additional compensation through performance-based incentive plan(s) that will correspond to meeting performance goals.
