Description
THREE is changing the way businesses think about commercial insurance. We bring essential business insurance coverages together into a simpler, more straightforward experience for agents and their clients. By combining Liability, Property, Cyber, Auto, and Workers Comp, we offer coverage for the whole business in a single policy.
We're looking for a commercially minded, analytically strong Commercial Lines Product Manager to own the performance and evolution of your assigned THREE business segment. This role will drive product strategy, portfolio profitability, and scalable growth while partnering across the organization to continuously improve our products and customer experience.
The Role
You will be responsible for the P&L and product performance of your assigned THREE business segment(s) and/or regions/territories, using data, market insights, and underwriting results to drive profitable growth. We want someone who combines commercial P&C insurance expertise with strong analytical skills, sound business judgment, and a bias toward execution. You will also partner with peer Product Managers on countrywide product initiatives and broader company priorities.
Job Responsibilities
- Own the assigned financial performance, including premium growth, loss ratio, expense trends, retention, and overall profitability.
- Develop and execute product strategies that support profitable growth, competitive positioning, and a consistent agent and customer experience.
- Monitor portfolio results and key performance indicators, identify performance trends, and recommend actions to improve underwriting results and business outcomes.
- Partner with Underwriting, Actuarial, Claims, Finance, and Sales to evaluate results, refine pricing and underwriting strategies, and address emerging performance issues.
- Lead product enhancements and countrywide initiatives, including coverage development, rating changes, underwriting guidelines, and process improvements.
- Evaluate market trends, competitor offerings, agent feedback, and customer needs to identify opportunities for product improvement and growth.
- Collaborate with Product team on shared product capabilities, countrywide initiatives, and consistent execution across THREE.
- Work with Engineering, Product & Operations, and other stakeholders to prioritize and implement product changes that improve efficiency, scalability, and the agent and customer experience.
Requirements
Qualifications
- 7+ years of progressive experience in commercial P&C insurance, with experience in product management, underwriting, product development, or portfolio management.
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance products, underwriting practices, pricing, and portfolio profitability.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and underwriting results, identify root causes, and translate insights into actionable business decisions.
- Experience managing product performance or a book of business, with a strong understanding of P&L drivers and profitability metrics.
- Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills; experience with data visualization or business intelligence tools preferred.
- Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, influence stakeholders without direct authority, and drive execution across multiple teams.
- High personal accountability, strong bias toward action, and the ability to solve problems without waiting for a playbook.
At THREE, obstacles are expected. We want people who respond to challenges with curiosity, urgency, and action. If something isn't producing, understand why, determine what needs to change, and go change it.
THREE's culture centers on six core behaviors: Put team over self, Own the outcome, Figure it out, Think in context, Adapt and improve, and Be direct and well-intentioned.
