Role Overview

Rocket Flood is looking for a commercially minded wholesale broker and producer to help build and scale our Commercial Flood division. This is a hybrid brokerage, production, and business development role. Build strong relationships with retail agency partners by providing responsive service, clear communication, practical guidance, and consistent follow-through from submission through binding.

Drive commercial flood production within Rocket Flood’s existing distribution by promoting the program, identifying agency opportunities, conducting outreach, coordinating commercial flood training, and following up to convert opportunities into submitted and bound accounts.

Plan and conduct regular commercial flood training sessions for retail agencies, helping agents understand the available markets, appetite, submission requirements, quoting process, and opportunities to identify commercial flood accounts.

Execute the business development and marketing plan for Rocket Flood’s commercial flood program, partnering on agency acquisition campaigns, distribution initiatives, sales materials, and other efforts that increase awareness and production.

Required Qualifications

Active Florida 2-20 General Lines Agent license, with the ability to maintain the license and obtain additional nonresident licenses as business needs require.

At least 1 year of insurance industry experience, with practical experience in commercial lines, wholesale brokerage, or wholesale production.

Strong understanding of the wholesale insurance model and the ability to work effectively with retail agents, underwriting teams, and insurance carriers.

Strong computer and systems aptitude, including the ability to work efficiently across agency management systems, CRMs, insurance rating platforms, email, and multiple monitors; comfortable learning new technology and workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience as a wholesale broker and/or wholesale producer, particularly handling commercial property accounts.

An established network of retail insurance agencies and producer relationships, with the ability to introduce new agencies and generate business through those relationships.

Commercial flood insurance experience, including familiarity with flood-prone states and geographies, commercial property risks, carrier appetites, and submission and placement workflows.
