The ideal candidate has a proven track record of prospecting, developing relationships with decision-makers, and closing new business. This role requires a consultative sales professional who can identify customer challenges, design tailored security solutions, and guide opportunities from initial outreach through contract execution.

You will engage facility managers, property managers, business owners, operations leaders, and general contractors across commercial real estate, healthcare, education, industrial, manufacturing, logistics, and multi-site commercial environments. This position works closely with operations and project teams to ensure a seamless transition from sale to implementation and is primarily based in the field throughout the Chicagoland area.

In addition to the base salary range, this position is eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, including commission and/or bonus opportunities. Total compensation will consist of base salary plus incentive earnings and will vary based on individual performance and final role alignment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, cold outreach, and territory development activities.

Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities to support revenue growth objectives.

Identify, engage, and secure meetings with facility managers, property managers, business owners, operations leaders, and other decision-makers.

Sell commercial electronic security solutions including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, monitoring, and related services.

Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through proposal development, negotiation, and contract execution.

Conduct site assessments and customer discovery meetings to identify security risks, operational challenges, and business needs.

Develop customer-focused solutions and proposals that align with client objectives, budgets, and operational requirements.

Collaborate with operations, project management, and technical teams to develop solution designs and implementation plans.

Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, architects, consultants, property management groups, and other industry partners.

Identify opportunities to expand services and solutions within customer accounts.

Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and sales activity records within CRM systems.

Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, competitors, and market developments.

Meet or exceed established sales, pipeline, and revenue goals.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

5+ years of successful B2B sales experience with demonstrated success generating net-new business.

Experience selling commercial electronic security systems, access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, low-voltage systems, managed services, or related technologies.

Proven ability to develop pipeline, secure meetings with decision-makers, and close new business opportunities.

Strong consultative selling, relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Working knowledge of commercial security technologies and platforms such as Brivo, Eagle Eye Networks, OpenEye, Verkada, Avigilon, Genetec, LenelS2, Software House, Gallagher, or similar solutions.

Experience managing opportunities within CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Q360, or similar systems.

Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with operations, project, and service teams.

Ability to meet company driving eligibility requirements, including holding a valid driver's license and maintaining an acceptable motor vehicle record.

Eligibility to obtain a PERC card from the State of Illinois.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of the Chicagoland commercial market and experience building relationships with customers, property managers, facility leaders, contractors, and industry partners.

Experience selling integrated security solutions that combine access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, visitor management, and monitoring services.

Familiarity with recurring revenue and service-based sales models.

Experience responding to RFPs, security assessments, and complex commercial sales opportunities.

Knowledge of cloud-based security technologies and enterprise security platforms.
