Commodity Manager (f/m/d) CD & NUC

A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Commodity Manager (f/m/d) CD & NUC, you will shape the sourcing strategy for some of Siemens Energy’s most advanced technology categories, including electronic equipment, controls, digitalization, and nuclear services. Working closely with engineering, quality, and project teams, you will build resilient supplier partnerships, negotiate complex commercial agreements, and ensure a secure, cost-effective supply chain that supports global business growth.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• •Develop and execute global sourcing and category strategies for electronic equipment, controls, and digital technologies
• •Identify, evaluate, and onboard strategic suppliers through market analysis, spend optimization, and cross-functional collaboration
• •Build long-term partnerships with key suppliers while driving performance through KPIs, business reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
• •Lead supplier development programs to strengthen quality, capability, and supply chain resilience in technically complex and regulated environments
• •Negotiate complex commercial contracts, including pricing, intellectual property, and long-term service agreements, to maximize value and minimize risk
• •Proactively assess supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity across global procurement activities

What You Bring

• •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics or a comparable technical or business discipline
• •Extensive experience in strategic procurement, sourcing, or category management with a strong focus on electronic equipment and technical commodities
• •Proven expertise in managing complex supplier relationships, supplier development, and procurement projects within regulated or high-technology industries
• •Strong commercial acumen with advanced contract negotiation, contract management, and risk mitigation capabilities
• •Analytical and strategic mindset with excellent stakeholder management skills; knowledge of AI applications and procurement automation is a plus
• •Business fluent in German and English

About the Team

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
