Summary:
To serve the vision of Life Fellowship as the point person for every communication strategy across our Athens and Chandler campuses and Life Youth. The Communications Director protects the brand, crafts clear and compelling messaging, and makes sure every platform — weekend announcements, app, website, dashboard, email, text, social media, live stream, and print — tells one story. All of it serves one purpose: helping people encounter God, find friends, discover freedom, and make a difference.
General Duties:
Communications Strategy & Project Coordination:
Build a tiered communication strategy for every project, scaling tasks to fit
Watch event sign-ups and increase or decrease communication to match response
Run the Central Communications Trello board — a card for every project, kept current daily
Refresh the board each Monday, confirming Life Youth and Sunday items are done
Track past-due items, adjust due dates, and communicate early when a project will slip
Build weekend service cards for Athens and Chandler from the preaching calendar
Lead quarterly ministry-leader comms meetings; turn notes into assigned cards
Submit design and video requests and follow each project through delivery
Use AI to its fullest capacity for drafting, board upkeep, and platform checks
Weekend & Video Announcements:
Oversee monthly announcement scripts from first draft through final review
Build the monthly list of upcoming events for the video announcement card
Review announcement videos and link finals in Trello for production
App & Website (Subsplash):
Publish weekly sermon notes for Athens, Chandler, and Life Youth
Upload the weekly Study Guide to the Full Message and Recap videos
Review the Media tab every Sunday afternoon for both campuses
Keep the website accurate: walk-throughs, weekly media lists, holiday hours
Dashboard, Email & Text:
Manage daily Studio C dashboard messaging, incl. baptism and dedication photos
Post the monthly Life Kids Sunday Rerun for Athens and Chandler
Design and schedule Life Kids, Life Youth, Outreach, and weekly Chandler emails
Own next-steps emails (Growth Track, Baptism, Dream Team, Salvation) and events
Lead Clearstream text strategy and respond to incoming texts
Send baptism reminder texts and Monday-after photo links
Planning Center:
Build ministry and event registrations; point person for sign-up troubleshooting
Update Planning Center Services with weekly host announcements
Social Media:
Lead strategy for Main Church, Life YTH, and Pastor Mark on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, YouTube, Beacons, and Google Ads
Lead the weekly content meeting and review the Creative Captures Dropbox
Create content and review every scheduled post before it goes live
Live Stream:
Schedule streams on Resi (Facebook/YouTube), Subsplash (app), and Church Online (web)
Review Resi weekly and partner with production so every stream is ready
Outdoor & Print:
Design and order billboards (Lamar, Media Choice) for both campuses
Manage the Athens campus parking lot LED sign
Lead print projects — handouts, signage, and flyers, including Athens restroom flyers
Brand & Creative Partnership:
Protect the Life Fellowship brand, voice, and message across every platform
Partner with the Creative Director to apply series, event, and brand assets consistently
Work with ministry leaders so every promotion is excellent and on-message
Skills/Experience:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree preferred in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
