NextGen Ventures is a global B2C iGaming holding company building, acquiring, and scaling innovative gaming and entertainment brands across North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. Through a combination of cutting-edge technology, strategic partnerships, and localized market expertise, we create scalable gaming brands built for long-term growth. At NextGen Ventures, we combine entertainment, technology, and data-driven operations to deliver engaging user experiences across regulated and emerging markets worldwide. Our mission is to redefine the future of online gaming through innovation, global expansion, and premium digital entertainment.
As a Compliance Operations Associate at NextGen Ventures , you'll monitor identity verification, payment activity, and unusual winning patterns to detect and prevent fraud across our platform. Working in KYC tools like Surt and risk platforms like SEON, you'll flag suspicious behavior, investigate potentially fraudulent accounts, and help protect the integrity of our payment ecosystem.
Because fraud doesn't keep business hours, this role works on a rotating shift schedule that includes evenings and weekends. It's a hands-on entry point into compliance — you'll learn the tools, the regulations, and the patterns on the job, and you'll be trusted with real decisions early.
This role is critical to protecting our users and upholding the security and trust of our platform.
This is an onsite role based in our Monterrey, Mexico office.
Responsibilities
Identity Monitoring — Review user identity verification data in Sumsub to confirm accurate KYC compliance and flag anomalies.
Fraud Detection — Monitor SEON alerts for signs of account takeover, synthetic or stolen identities, and bot activity.
Transaction Review — Watch transaction patterns across our payment processors to prevent chargebacks and identify stolen funds, payment structuring, and other high-risk behavior.
AML Screening — Run sanctions, PEP, and adverse media screening on flagged accounts, and prepare documentation for suspicious activity reporting in line with our AML program.
Responsible Gaming — Identify behavioral indicators of problem gambling, apply cooling-off and self-exclusion controls, and route affected players to the appropriate support pathway.
Investigation & Escalation — Conduct preliminary fraud investigations and escalate complex or high-risk cases to the Director of Fraud and the Compliance Senior Manager.
Documentation — Use compliance dashboards and internal tools to log, track, and resolve flagged activity, keeping records that hold up to regulator and licensing review.
Player and Internal Audits — Verify that wins from high-rollers and large wallets are legitimate, and review internal colleague activity for policy adherence.
Collaboration — Work closely with Support and Finance to resolve issues tied to user accounts, payments, and policy violations.
Process Adherence — Follow internal workflows and response protocols so fraud prevention stays consistent and defensible.
Continuous Learning — Stay current on fraud trends, emerging scam tactics, evolving risk signals, and changes to gaming and AML regulation.
Requirements
Strong attention to detail and comfort working through repetitive review queues without losing accuracy
Sound judgment under ambiguity — knowing when to act and when to escalate
Clear written communication for case notes and escalations
Discretion with sensitive user data and confidential investigations
Availability to work a rotating schedule that includes evenings and weekends
Comfort with spreadsheets and web-based admin tools
No prior compliance or iGaming experience required. We'll train you.
Nice to Have
Exposure to KYC, fraud, payments, chargebacks, or dispute handling in any industry
Familiarity with Plaid, SEON, or comparable identity and risk platforms
Background in online gaming, sports betting, fintech, or crypto
Data analysis skills
English proficiency required
