The Group Business Compliance unit within the Corporate & Investment Banking Board area is dedicated to steering our operations from a material Compliance perspective. Our primary objective is to ensure sustainable business growth with counterparties that align with our compliance risk appetite. Additionally, this unit is responsible for developing methodology and tools to assess clients from a material compliance perspective.

The Group Business Compliance Team is seeking an experienced, client-oriented, and proactive professional willing to take on the responsibility for ensuring compliant business practices with clients, particularly within the Corporate and Institutional Clients portfolio.

Your role at RBI:

  • Ensure compliant business with approved clients based on Business Compliance Framework
  • Implement the Business Compliance Framework for RBI Group, coordinate relationship managers and the NWUs during the implementation
  • Review client onboardings to ensure that potential clients and their businesses align with the established compliance risk appetite
  • Manage the client life cycle with respect to coherency screening, adverse media hit handling and client cooperation
  • Support development and harmonization of material due-diligence steps for Institutional Clients and Corporate Customers within the compliance related client life cycle management, including adverse media screening, coherency screening, relationship reviews, etc
  • Execute Business Compliance related projects in pre-defined areas with a focus on digitalization, AI supported process optimization and innovation
  • Promptly identify clients outside our aligned risk appetite and proactively advise relationship managers
  • Handle ad-hoc requests, prepare data and reports
  • Provide training and workshops for both external and internal clients

Your core competencies:

  • At least 4 years of experience in within financial institutions (Relationship Management, Mid-Office, KYC, Business Compliance, Compliance, Anti-Money- Laundering/ Financial Sanctions areas, Process Optimization)
  • A solution-orientated, hands-on mentality supported by critical thinking, curiosity and a proactive approach
  • Interest in regulatory and Compliance matters, coupled with an understanding of the legal & regulatory frameworks within which international financial institutions operate
  • High level of client orientation and excellent communication skills while engaging with clients
  • Analytical skills, affinity to use AI supported tools, enjoy exploring new ideas and techniques
  • Proficient in both English and German, further CEE/CIS language is an advantage

  • Competitive salary: In accordance with Austrian legal requirements, the minimum salary for this position is EUR 3375,40 gross per month under the applicable Banking Collective Agreement.
