About Wolt
At Wolt, we create technology that brings joy, simplicity and earnings to the neighborhoods of the world. In 2014 we started with delivery of restaurant food. Now we’re building the delivery of (almost) everything and you’ll find us in over 500 cities in 30 countries around the world. In 2022 we joined forces with DoorDash and together we keep on dreaming big and expanding across the globe.
Working at Wolt isn’t always easy, but it’s definitely exciting. Here you’ll learn more, build more, and ship more than in most other companies. You’ll be challenged a lot, but also have a lot of fun on the way. So, if you’re a self-starter with drive and entrepreneurial spirit, this could be the ride of your life.
Our company, Wolt License Services (WLS), is a dynamic organization specializing in payment and financial services for our parent company Wolt, a prominent platform marketplace, and Wolt’s customers. WLS currently manages all merchant payment flows across over 23 markets, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory requirements, including AML, safeguarding customer funds, and maintaining robust internal controls. As a licensed and supervised payment and e-money institution, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and efficiency in our operations.
As we continue to expand our financial services and merchant onboarding activities, we are seeking to strengthen our operational quality assurance capabilities by recruiting Compliance Quality Assurance Specialists to join our Operational Quality Assurance team. The Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for performing ongoing quality reviews of merchant onboarding activities, identifying operational deficiencies, supporting continuous improvement initiatives and helping ensure customer due diligence procedures are consistently executed to the expected quality standards.
The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to provide constructive feedback to operational teams. The Quality Assurance Specialist will work closely with Merchant Operations, Sales, Product and Risk & Compliance teams to continuously improve onboarding quality and reduce operational risk. The role will report to the Compliance Quality Assurance Lead.
What you'll be doing
Conduct monthly quality assurance reviews of completed merchant onboarding cases across all supported markets, assessing adherence to customer due diligence procedures, internal policies and operational standards.
Identify operational deficiencies, documentation errors, process deviations and recurring quality trends, ensuring findings are accurately documented and appropriately escalated.
Provide structured feedback to Merchant Operations, Sales and other onboarding teams to continuously improve onboarding quality and consistency.
Support the delivery of quality calibration sessions and training activities to ensure consistent interpretation of onboarding requirements across operational teams.
Maintain accurate records of quality reviews, findings, root causes, corrective actions and quality metrics.
Prepare regular quality assurance reporting, highlighting operational trends, recurring deficiencies, risk areas and improvement opportunities.
Support root cause analysis of operational quality issues and collaborate with Product, Operations and Risk & Compliance teams to improve onboarding procedures and controls.
Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures, quality checklists and onboarding guidance documentation.
Promote a strong quality culture by encouraging operational excellence, continuous improvement and consistent application of operational standards across all markets.
Our humble expectations
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Law, Compliance, Risk Management or a related field.
2-4 years of experience in quality assurance, customer due diligence, merchant onboarding, financial crime operations, compliance operations or other operational control functions within financial services, fintech or payments.
Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to identify process weaknesses and recurring trends.
Experience reviewing operational cases against defined procedures and quality standards.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver constructive feedback to operational teams.
