Consulting Associate / Consultanting Senior Associate - Environmental or Social Stream

In this role, you will contribute to the development and growth of ERM’s Capital Project Delivery business. Ideal candidates will be enthusiastic, energetic and excellent communicators in both written and spoken English. They must be comfortable dealing with clients and project stakeholders. Having knowledge or experience in renewable energy and environmental and social due diligence for project financing is a plus.

Candidates must have a passion for sustainability, a proven background in environmental, biodiversity or social aspects. You will have the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of projects, likely involving local or international travel, delivering sustainable solutions to clients.

Responsibilities:

• •Act within a team to deliver environmental and social consulting services (including biodiversity or social impact assessments, due diligence and related mitigation/plan reporting against international standards such as International Finance Corporation (IFC) Performance Standards (PS)) for private sector clients and financial institutions (eg IFC, Asian Development Bank (ADB), World Bank) throughout Asia, and globally;
• •Assess on behalf of the financial institutions or assist the private sector clients regarding the requirements and fulfillment of Projects to the applicable ESG standards;
• •Lead or support the delivery of assessment and due diligence reports;
• •Communicate with relevant stakeholders such as financial institutions and private sector clients including environmental and other relevant departments;
• •Represent the interests of the company in all dealings, and communications with ERM clients, potential clients, contacts and other businesses in the ERM Group and ensure that client needs are met and work is conducted to the highest standard; and
• •Stay knowledgeable of trends and innovation in the field.

Requirements:

• •Candidates must have a Bachelor's or Master’s degree qualification, preferably in a biodiversity / conservation / environmental / geography/ sociology/ public policy/ human rights discipline ;
• •Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience are also welcomed ;
• •Relevant background and experience in renewable energy, biodiversity or social aspects is preferably;
• •Experience in delivering multi-disciplinary projects or initiatives;
• •Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, and work independently with minimal supervision;
• •Ability to travel locally and internationally;
• •A strong ability to converse and write in English and Mandarin Language is a fundamental requirement.
