Summary:
In this role, you will provide clinical and analytical consulting expertise to support healthcare clients in improving medical-surgical performance, clinical operations, quality, and outcomes. You will manage consulting workstreams and projects, interpret complex clinical and operational data, and translate findings into actionable recommendations. You will collaborate with client leaders, facilitate discussions, manage relationships, and apply project management and clinical expertise to drive measurable improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze clinical, operational, and performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and actionable recommendations for medical-surgical improvement initiatives.
- Interpret complex analytical results and develop clear data-driven stories that support client decision-making and organizational change.
- Develop and execute project plans that meet established schedules, budgets, deliverables, and expected value.
- Apply project management methodologies to organize workstreams, manage milestones, address risks, and support successful project delivery.
- Facilitate client meetings and discussions and present findings and recommendations to clinical, operational, and senior leadership audiences.
- Manage relationships and expectations with mid- to senior-level client leaders throughout consulting engagements.
- Apply medical-surgical clinical expertise to assess workflows, practices, performance, and opportunities for quality, operational, and clinical improvement.
- Identify opportunities to expand client value and collaborate with senior project team members to evaluate potential consulting solutions.
- Develop and improve consulting products, services, tools, methodologies, and approaches within the clinical practice area.
- Guide less experienced consultants in data interpretation, storytelling, deliverable development, and the creation and sharing of intellectual capital.
Qualifications:
- Relevant degree preferred.
- 5 or more years of relevant experience required.
- Clinical experience in medical-surgical nursing, clinical operations, performance improvement, or a related healthcare environment required.
- Active or eligible clinical licensure appropriate to the area of expertise preferred.
- Experience interpreting clinical, operational, quality, and performance data and translating findings into actionable recommendations.
- Experience leading consulting engagements, improvement initiatives, projects, or complex workstreams within a healthcare environment.
- Strong project management, facilitation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting findings and recommendations to clinical and senior leadership audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, build effective client relationships, and collaborate across clinical and operational teams.
- Ability to travel regularly and expeditiously throughout the year to meet clients’ needs and timetables.
Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $117,600.00 to $206,000.00.
This position is also incentive eligible.
