Description
Job Purpose / Summary
The Content Producer finds, captures, and produces the stories that show Three Square’s impact. Working like a journalist inside the organization, this role interviews clients, partner agencies, volunteers, donors, and staff; secures consent; and turns each story into high-quality photo, video, and written content for Three Square’s website, social media, communications, and events, owning each story from the first conversation to the finished piece.
Essential Job Functions
The following duties are considered essential functions of this position. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
- Conduct interviews with clients, program participants, partner agencies, donors, volunteers, and staff, in English and, where possible, Spanish.
- Lead content capture by developing shot lists and interview questions, and by shooting and editing photo and video for different audiences and channels.
- Write program stories, client and volunteer profiles, partner highlights, donor impact narratives, website content, newsletter articles, and social media copy.
- Translate program outcomes and organizational data into clear stories that connect lived experiences to measurable impact, while verifying facts, statistics, names, titles, and quotes against approved sources.
- Secure written consent and media releases before any story, photo, or video is used, and record consent status and usage rights with every asset.
- Apply dignity-centered storytelling practices that protect the privacy, dignity, accuracy, and agency of the people whose stories are shared, with particular care for children and other vulnerable participants.
- Build and run a steady story pipeline by spending time at program sites, distributions, the warehouse, and events, and by building relationships that create story leads.
- Repurpose each story into formats for social, web, email, print, presentations, and donor use, and draft first-pass captions to accompany each social asset.
- Provide impact stories and content for grant reports, sponsorship materials, newsletters, direct mail, and donor stewardship in support of Philanthropy.
- Build and maintain a centralized story bank and content library with consistent tagging, consent documentation, usage rights, and file naming.
- Support rapid response by quickly supplying facts, data, and real stories when news affects food insecurity in Southern Nevada.
- Coordinate and manage projects efficiently, including communications with external vendors for larger productions.
- Maintain Three Square’s voice and editorial style guide (AP style) and standing boilerplate language.
- Review content performance data and use it to choose and shape future stories.
- Work through the asset request system, meet committed deadlines, and keep project status up to date.
- Manage confidential information.
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
