Description

The Prep Cook supports the culinary team by preparing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring kitchen readiness for service. This entry-level role provides the foundation for developing cooking skills and gaining exposure to a professional kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

• •Wash, chop, and prepare ingredients according to recipes and chef instructions.
• •Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep stations, coolers, and storage areas.
• •Label, date, and properly store food items to maintain freshness and safety.
• •Assist cooks and chefs during service by providing prepped ingredients and basic tasks.
• •Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.

What We’re Looking For

• •1+ year previous kitchen experience is preferred.
• •Ability to read and accurately follow recipes and kitchen tickets.
• •Basic knife skills and knowledge of food handling.
• •Ability to follow directions and work efficiently on a fast-paced, high volume production line
• •Food Handler’s Certification (or ability to obtain).
• •Ability to manage a designated workstation while maintaining quality, cleanliness, and organization.
• •Consistently prepare menu items according to recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
• •Strong attention to detail and ability to produce consistent results during busy service periods.

Physical Requirements

• •Stand/walk for extended periods (up to 8–10 hours).
• •Lift, carry, or move up to 50 lbs. regularly.
• •Work in hot, cold, and humid environments.
• •Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.
