Job Summary:

Personal Touch Food Service, Inc. is seeking a skilled and dependable Cook to join our school cafeteria team. The Cook is responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals to students and staff in a safe, clean, and efficient environment that supports a positive dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with planned menus and standardized recipes

Ensure all food is cooked and held at proper temperatures

Assist with food prep, portioning, and service during meal periods

Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness

Monitor inventory levels and notify supervisor of supply needs

Assist in receiving and storing deliveries properly

Comply with all federal, state, and local health regulations, as well as school and company policies

Maintain a clean and organized workstation

Work collaboratively with kitchen and cafeteria staff

Requirements

• •High school diploma or GED preferred.
• •Prior food service or school cafeteria experience is a plus, but not required.
• •Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• •Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a positive attitude.
• •Dependable and punctual, with a strong track record of showing up ready to work.
• •Ability to work well with others as part of a team, including coworkers, school staff, and students.
• •Ability to work in a fast-paced, noisy school cafeteria environment.
• •Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
• •Must pass all background checks and comply with school and company health and safety requirements.
