A path for every ambition.

At HUB, we believe the best work happens when people are given real space to grow and then given the autonomy to exercise it. We power progress and protect ambition: for the clients who count on us, and equally for the people who make that possible every day.

We’re creative thinkers and determined doers, guided by values that show up in how we work together: with empathy, adaptability, accountability and a genuine commitment to one another’s success. We foster bold ideas, celebrate curiosity and share what we know. Because when people grow, the work they do grows with them.

Our purpose is deeply human: to help people navigate the world on their terms, at their speed, toward their future. We hold that same commitment to the people building careers here.

Whether you’re starting out or leveling up, you’ll find the resources to evolve, the support to take on more and a team ready to back you at every stage.

Your ambition has a home here.

We help our clients evaluate their risks and develop solutions tailored to their needs. We believe in empowering our employees to learn, grow, and make a difference. Our structure enables our teams to maintain their own unique, regional culture while leveraging support and resources from our corporate centers of excellence.

HUB is a global insurance and employee benefits broker, providing a boundaryless array of business insurance, employee benefits, risk services, personal insurance, retirement, and private wealth management products and services. With over $5 billion in revenue and almost 20,000 employees in 700 offices throughout North America, HUB has grown substantially, in part due to our industry leading success in mergers and acquisitions.

Primary Responsibilities

This role serves as both HUB's central program management and intelligence function and the primary on-the-ground security presence at HUB's Chicago headquarters. It requires close collaboration with Legal, Compliance, HR, Operations, Events, and regional leadership across the US and Canada.

Program Management & Development

Manage, maintain, and continuously improve HUB's enterprise safety and security programs — Workplace Violence Prevention, Travel Risk Management — and associated policies, protocols, and toolkits.

Lead program rollouts end-to-end: stakeholder communications, training delivery, implementation tracking across business units and regions.

Draft and maintain policies, SOPs, toolkits, and employee-facing communications across program domains.

Manage multiple concurrent program initiatives and security projects, on time and within budget.

Intelligence, Monitoring & Incident Management

Serve as a primary intelligence analyst, monitoring the threat environment across HUB's footprint using OSINT, Ontic, and other available platforms.

Manage, monitor, and log incidents in HUB's Virtual Security Operations Center (VSOC), with Ontic as system of record.

Co-anchor HUB's 24/7 security hotline as a primary point of contact for employee-reported security concerns, threat referrals, and urgent incident intake (US and Canada).

Produce threat intelligence products, situational awareness briefings, and incident summaries for the CSSO.

Support behavioral threat assessment case management with HR, Legal, and regional leadership on threat referrals and intervention planning.

Office Security & Executive Support

Primary security presence across HUB's downtown Chicago locations; maintain site visits, relationships with building security, property managers, and local law enforcement, and situational awareness of the local threat environment.

Day-to-day security support for Chicago-based C-suite executives: advance work for local engagements, secure ground transportation coordination, protective presence during elevated-risk periods.

Build and maintain trusted relationships with executive assistants supporting senior leaders.

Events & Functional Summit Security

Lead security planning and execution for internal meetings, leadership summits, and functional events at Chicago locations, area venues, and select large-scale events in other cities.

Conduct security advances: site surveys, venue assessments, coordination with local law enforcement and venue security teams.

Collaborate with event management and facilities teams for discreet, seamless security integration.

Serve as point of contact for hotels and event venues hosting HUB employee groups.

Training & Stakeholder Engagement

Design and deliver virtual and in-person training across safety and security domains: workplace violence prevention, travel risk awareness, active assailant response.

Represent HUB Safety & Security at employee summits, regional meetings, and cross-functional working groups.

Build effective working relationships with regional leaders, HR business partners, legal counsel, and external partners to advance program adoption and compliance.

Continuing Education & Industry Networking

Participate in safety, security, and resilience-focused professional associations and conferences (Ontic, ATAP, BEPP, ASIS International).

Pursue and maintain relevant credentialing through ASIS International, ATAP, and the Events Safety Alliance or similar.

REQUIREMENTS

Professional Experience (5+ years), including:

Events security management and security advance work

Site security assessments

Threat assessment / threat management

Vendor relationship management

Security project management

  • Enterprise-level program management or intelligence/monitoring function experience (VSOC, Ontic, or comparable platform)
  • Education : Degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related field, or equivalent military/police academy training/experience, or comparable alternative transferable professional experience.

Preferred Certifications: APP, CPP, PSP, or CTM
