Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. Working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will assist residents in improving function, increasing independence, and enhancing quality of life through individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities

• •Provide occupational therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
• •Assist residents in improving performance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• •Implement treatment plans and therapeutic interventions designed to improve functional independence
• •Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the Occupational Therapist
• •Document treatments, resident responses, and progress accurately and timely
• •Assist with discharge planning and caregiver education
• •Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment
• •Collaborate with nursing staff, therapy team members, physicians, residents, and families
• •Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions as appropriate
• •Follow all facility policies, state regulations, and professional practice standards

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• •Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• •Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred
• •Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) and Casamba preferred
• •Ability to quickly learn facility software and documentation systems
• •Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Licenses & Certifications

• •Current Occupational Therapy Assistant license/certification in South Carolina
• •Must maintain all required continuing education requirements
• •Must remain in good standing with the applicable State Board
