Job Description & Summary

About the role:

  • PwC is looking for an experienced creative leader to lead the Creative and Visual Design service. The role is accountable for a connected UK creative service supporting Sales, Marketing, Business Solutions and crossline of Service demand, including brand and marketing asset delivery and high-value proposal design.
  • The role leads an integrated, blended delivery model spanning UK studios, creative project management, workflow operations, film and motion, digital design, offshore delivery and external specialist agencies. It sets the direction for creative quality, demand prioritisation, capacity and end-to-end service performance, while upholding network brand standards and guidelines and protecting the flexibility and strong engagement that make the service successful.
  • Working within the Sales and Marketing function, the role partners with senior leaders across Brand, Sales, Marketing, Technology, Procurement and the Lines of Service. It provides authoritative creative advice, shapes priorities in ambiguous and high-pressure situations, and represents the UK in relevant global brand and creative forums.
  • As a leader of leaders, the role is accountable for enabling Senior Managers and Managers to lead with clarity and confidence, building effective systems and structures rather than personally owning every decision. It sets clear expectations, coaches and develops talent, sustains an inclusive culture and leads the team through organisational and technology-enabled change.
  • This is a substantial operational and commercial leadership role, with accountability for a high-demand portfolio, a large blended team and supplier network, and a multi-million-pound budget operated through a cost-recovery model. The role is responsible for service performance, utilisation, forecasting, charging, agency spend, risk and management information, ensuring investment and capacity are aligned with demand and value.

What your days will look like:

  • Set and communicate the strategy, service proposition and priorities for Creative and Visual Design, aligned to the Brand programme and wider Sales and Marketing transformation, while owning creative quality and the integrity of the PwC brand across the service.
  • Lead the end-to-end blended service across UK, offshore and agency teams, including demand triage, capacity planning, workflow, service levels and escalation, with clear accountability for priority sales and high-value proposal design.
  • Lead major, confidential and high-profile creative programmes, providing calm judgement, sound governance and clear decisions across multiple senior stakeholders, while building trusted relationships across the firm and globally to resolve competing priorities and strengthen collaboration.
  • Own the service budget and cost-recovery model, including forecasting, scenario planning, utilisation, charging, agency spend, supplier value and management information, while driving continuous improvement through workflow technology, automation, GenAI and modern design tools.
  • Lead, coach and empower Senior Managers and Managers, building succession, capability, accountability, psychological safety and a strong talent pipeline, while leading organisational change across structures, roles, skills, career paths, locations and ways of working.

This role is for you if:

  • Senior leadership experience within a large-scale creative, design, brand or integrated production service, with a strong record of setting creative direction and delivering high-quality, on-brand work across varied channels and audiences.
  • Experience leading managers and multidisciplinary teams across onshore, offshore and external supplier models, with a leader-of-leaders approach focused on delegation, coaching, empowerment and talent development.
  • Commercial accountability for substantial budgets, forecasting, utilisation, cost recovery, supplier spend and value measurement, alongside experience managing high-volume services, demand and capacity.
  • Experience leading complex, high-profile or confidential programmes involving senior and global stakeholders, with strong judgement and the ability to make balanced decisions in ambiguous and high-pressure situations.
  • The ability to influence senior stakeholders, reconcile competing priorities and act as a trusted adviser on creative, brand and service matters, supported by excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience leading organisational and operational change while maintaining service continuity, quality and colleague engagement.
  • A strong understanding of workflow technology, automation, GenAI and modern design tools, including the governance, licensing and quality considerations required for responsible adoption.

What you’ll receive from us:

  • No matter where you may be in your career or personal life, our benefits are designed to add value and support, recognising and rewarding you fairly for your contributions.
  • We offer a range of benefits including empowered flexibility and a working week split between office, home and client site; private medical cover and 24/7 access to a qualified virtual GP; six volunteering days a year and much more.
