BAIN CAPITAL OVERVIEW

Established in 1984, Bain Capital is one of the world's leading private investment firms with over US$140 billion in assets under management. Bain Capital manages a range of funds including private equity, public equity, leveraged debt assets, venture capital, and absolute return capital. Our competitive advantage is grounded in a diligence-intensive, value-added investment approach that enables the firm to deliver industry-leading returns for its investors.

BAIN CAPITAL CREDIT OVERVIEW

Bain Capital Credit, the debt investment group of Bain Capital, is a leading buy-side private investment management firm with US$49 billion in assets under management. Bain Capital Credit is one of the largest high yield credit investors in the world, investing in a wide variety of securities, including high-yield bonds, distressed debt, mezzanine debt, levered loans, convertible bonds, structured products, and select equity investments. Through our numerous funds, we have the ability to invest in every level of a company’s capital structure from secured debt to equity, and can also provide capital to growing companies with unique financing needs.

As part of Bain Capital Credit, the Asia Special Situations platform focuses on three core strategies, linked by the common objective of providing liquidity where traditional forms of capital are scarce:

Capital Solutions: bespoke solutions for businesses and assets that require specialized primary capital. Structured to participate in equity upside but with credit-like downside protection, controls, and often a cash yield

Deleveraging: capitalize on motivated sellers’ disposal of assets, such as non-performing loans, non-core assets and business units

Distressed: secondary purchases, rescue capital solutions, and investments in cyclical industries and over-levered companies and assets where we observe deep value and/or strong asset backing and have the resources and expertise to affect complex workouts and operational turnarounds

The Special Situations platform has actively invested in distressed and special situations investments in Asia since 2005.

The Private Credit group focuses on direct lending opportunities across the capital structure to companies globally with EBITDA ranging from $10 million to $150 million. We lead or participate in senior, second lien and unitranche loans; subordinated debt; and preferred or common equity coinvestments for traditional leveraged buyout transactions and unsponsored refinancings. Bain Capital Credit manages commingled funds and separate accounts across global and regional mandates.

The Associate program is a two year commitment, with potential for ongoing employment following end of program. During the program, associates will rotate between Special Situations and Private Credit. As part of this experience, Associates can co-invest alongside our fund and thereby participate in opportunities for significant equity appreciation.
