What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Lead regional critical environment engineering operations across multiple mission-critical facilities, ensuring operational consistency, maximum uptime, and alignment with client and JLL performance standards.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to Chief Engineers, engineering teams, and site leadership while fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee maintenance strategies, preventative and predictive maintenance programs, and operational readiness for critical systems including UPS systems, emergency generators, precision cooling infrastructure, electrical distribution equipment, and building automation platforms.
  • Serve as a senior technical escalation point during critical incidents, coordinating emergency response efforts, root cause analysis investigations, corrective actions, and client communications.
  • Manage and support rigorous change management processes, including review and approval of MOPs, SOPs, EOPs, and ServiceNow change requests for mission-critical infrastructure activities.
  • Conduct regional site inspections, operational audits, redundancy validation exercises, and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to industry standards, safety requirements, and client expectations.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams, vendors, and client stakeholders to support operational initiatives, infrastructure lifecycle planning, sustainability efforts, and continuous service enhancements.
  • Monitor operational performance metrics including uptime, MTBF, MTTR, PUE, and thermal performance data to drive informed decision-making and operational optimization.
  • Support a workplace culture where everyone is empowered to thrive by championing collaboration, professional development, inclusivity, and wellbeing across regional engineering teams.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical field; or equivalent critical environment operations experience.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive experience managing mission-critical engineering operations, data centers, or critical facilities environments.
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience overseeing engineering teams within 24/7/365 operational environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise managing critical infrastructure systems including UPS systems, emergency power generation, precision cooling systems, electrical distribution equipment, fire suppression systems, and building automation platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of mission-critical operational standards, preventative maintenance programs, redundancy configurations, and change management procedures.
  • Experience with CMMS platforms such as Corrigo, DCIM systems, and change management tools including ServiceNow or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, electrical safety standards, OSHA requirements, and industry best practices including Uptime Institute, ASHRAE, TIA-942, and NFPA standards.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear operational guidance and client-focused solutions.
  • Ability to travel regularly within the assigned region and support emergency response activities outside standard business hours when required.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or relevant industry certifications including CDCP, CDCS, ATS, CEM, CFM, PMP, or CMRP.
  • Experience supporting financial services clients or other highly regulated environments with mission-critical operational requirements.
  • Demonstrated success managing Tier III or Tier IV data center operations with a strong focus on uptime, resilience, and operational excellence.
  • Experience implementing sustainability initiatives and energy efficiency strategies within critical environments, including PUE optimization and thermal management improvements.
  • Familiarity with medium voltage systems, utility coordination, and advanced redundancy validation testing procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing long-term corrective actions.
  • Experience driving innovation and operational improvements through technology adoption, predictive maintenance strategies, and data-driven performance management.
