CRT/RRT (Day Shift Shift)

Description

JOB DUTIES:

• •Conduct thorough assessments of patients' respiratory status and history.
• •Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans based on patient needs and physician orders.
• •Administer respiratory therapies, including aerosol medications, mechanical ventilation, and oxygen therapy.
• •Monitor and evaluate patients' responses to treatment, adjusting care as needed.
• •Educate patients and their families about respiratory conditions, treatments, and preventative measures.
• •Conduct diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function tests.
• •Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and improve outcomes.
• •Maintain accurate patient records, documenting assessments, treatments, and progress.

Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• •Must possess a valid respiratory therapist license in the State of Missouri.
• •Must have an associate's degree or higher in respiratory therapy from an accredited program.
• •Must possess certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT),
• •Must have a minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in critical care or acute care environments.
• •Must have a strong understanding of respiratory care protocols, equipment, and therapies.
• •Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• •Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities efficiently.
• •Must possess current BLS certification throughout employment.
• •Must earn ACLS and PALS within six (6) months of hire.
