The role will focus on charity partner engagement, project execution, coordination of CSR compliance, statutory filings, governance documentation, reporting, financial tracking, and employee volunteering initiatives, including Global Volunteer Month (GVM).

Since 1935, Morgan Stanley is known as a global leader in financial services, always evolving and innovating to better serve our clients and our communities in more than 40 countries around the world.

What you'll do in the role:

2% CSR

  • Support the implementation of the Firm's annual 2% CSR program and action plan, including coordination across internal stakeholders and charity partners.
  • Manage the working-level requirements for 2% CSR compliance and statutory filings, including collating information, maintaining supporting documentation, coordinating inputs and reviews, tracking approvals, and meeting applicable deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate and audit-ready records for CSR grants, approvals, agreements, due diligence, utilization documentation, monitoring reports, impact information, and other governance requirements.
  • Support the preparation of periodic CSR reporting for management, governance forums, the Board, regional and global stakeholders, and other internal requirements.
  • Track CSR budgets, grants, disbursements, spending, and partner submissions; flag gaps or delays early and follow through to closure.
  • Coordinate charity partner onboarding, due diligence, grant documentation, renewals, reporting, site visits, and routine relationship management.
  • Employee Volunteering Community Affairs Campaign
  • Project-manage Global Volunteer Month (GVM) and other employee volunteering campaigns in India, including partner coordination, activity planning, registrations, logistics, communications inputs, risk and compliance requirements, participation tracking, and post-campaign reporting.
  • Coordinate with India Philanthropy networks, business units, offices, and charity partners to deliver volunteering opportunities consistently across locations.
  • Prepare clear and concise presentations, briefing notes, approval emails, trackers, dashboards, and status updates for senior stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications, professional experience, and personal qualities:
  • A passion for social impact and a deep understanding of community development issues in India
  • BA/BS and 8+ years of experience in Community Affairs, CSR, or philanthropy/non-profits
  • Understanding of India's 2% CSR landscape, including regulatory compliance and due diligence requirements
  • Working knowledge of India's 2% CSR regulatory and compliance framework, including governance, due diligence, documentation, reporting, and statutory filing requirements.
  • Experience supporting CSR program administration, partner management, grant processes, budgets, program reporting, and audit or compliance reviews.
  • Strong project-management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, recurring deadlines, and detailed follow-through.
  • High level of diligence and attention to detail, with a disciplined approach to documentation and record keeping.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with budgets, trackers, program data, and reporting metrics.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present relevant context, key facts, and next steps upfront.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; experience using collaboration, workflow, or reporting tools would be useful.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Hands-on experience supporting or managing 2% CSR compliance, reporting, filings, governance documentation, or grant administration in India.
  • Experience coordinating with non-profit partners and reviewing program, financials, due diligence, and utilization of documentation.
  • Demonstrated project-management experience, ideally involving employee volunteering or a multi-stakeholder campaign, similar to Morgan Stanley's Global Volunteer Month.
