Do you take pride in preparing food that not only tastes great but brings comfort to others? We’re looking for a dependable Culinary Aide to join our kitchen team and help ensure residents, employees, and special events are served safe, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared meals.

What You’ll Do

As a Culinary Aide, you’ll play an important role in our dining services by:

• •Preparing and portioning foods such as beverages, salads, desserts, and snacks according to menus and dietary needs
• •Following food safety and proper handling standards to ensure meals are safe, fresh, and appealing
• •Serving meals at the correct temperature, on schedule, and with care
• •Using standardized recipes and portion control tools for consistency and quality
• •Accurately serving residents according to diet orders and preferences
• •Maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen and serving areas
• •Washing dishes and maintaining sanitation logs for temperatures and sanitizer use
• •Labeling, dating, storing, and rotating food properly
• •Monitoring refrigerator and freezer temperatures and reporting concerns promptly
• •Assisting with receiving and storing food and supplies
• •Supporting inventory awareness and minimizing waste
• •Operating kitchen equipment safely and reporting maintenance issues
• •Working collaboratively with teammates across departments
• •Creating a welcoming, respectful environment for residents, families, and visitors

Requirements

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Licenses/Certification

• •Food Handlers Permit or willingness to obtain one, if required per state regulations.
• •NOTE: Federal Child Labor Laws do not permit employees younger than 18 years of age to work with or repair, adjust, or clean power-driven machines such as meat slicers and commercial mixers. Therefore, individuals must be at least 18 years of age to be employed in this position.

Experience

• •Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
• •Experience in food service is desired.
