ABOUT ONSITE WELLNESS GROUP

Onsite is a therapeutic retreat center with a 40-year history of healing and is nestled on a beautiful 250-acre campus in the rolling hills just outside of Nashville. Our vision is “ An emotionally well world… Humanity reconnected ” and one element of that is providing healing hospitality that accompanies the life transformation of our programs. We are currently looking for an experienced Cook to join our back-of-house culinary team to help us delivery a wonderful culinary experience for our clients. ABOUT THE DAY-TO-DAY IN THIS ROLE:

Shift: 5:00am- 1:30pm (5 days a week, weekends required)

  • This role is responsible for crafting culinary delights for our clients, staff and visitors.
  • The Cook is responsible for meal preparation, exemplary food service, recipes, and contributes to the creative process of crafting a great experience.
  • Work with the Executive Chef, Sous Chef and Lead Culinary Supervisor and other back-of-house staff to effectively plan for service. You’ll follow recipes, portion controls and follow presentation guidelines established by the culinary leaders.
  • Be available to assist with anything that needs done, including serving clients, assisting with clean up, breakdown of serving bars, etc.
  • You must be highly proficient in working in a professional kitchen. Fast food or fast-casual experience doesn’t apply in this case.

Requirements

IDEAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE FOR THE ROLE:

We are open to candidates of all backgrounds, experience and education levels. After all, years of experience is just a number. That said, we believe that candidates with the following backgrounds will be well-suited to succeed in this role:

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in high-end food service is required. Fast food or casual dining experience doesn’t apply.
  • You must have excellent knife skills, ability to follow and execute complex recipes and know how professional kitchens operate
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations, policies and kitchen operations
  • A warm, engaging and eager personality
