Job Summary:

Palacios Marine & Industrial, a leading provider of mechanical contracting and industrial services, is seeking a diligent Custodian to maintain a clean and safe industrial environment. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our facilities are well-maintained, supporting our commitment to quality and safety. This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial setting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• •Clean and polish lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
• •Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
• •Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors.
• •Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
• •Dust furniture and equipment.
• •Polish metalwork.
• •Wash walls, ceiling, and woodwork.
• •Wash windows, door panels, and sills.
• •Empty wastebaskets and clean ashtrays.
• •Transport trash and waste to disposal area.
• •Replenish bathroom supplies.
• •Transport small equipment or tools between departments.
• •Additional responsibilities and duties as required. May vary depending on the nature of the site and the obligations of the client.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

• •Custodial experience is a plus.
• •Must be 18 years of age or older.
• •Must pass a drug test.
• •Must pass pre-screening site-specific exams and training materials.
• •Must pass a background check.

Working Conditions:

• •Work schedules may vary depending on the facility's needs, and may include weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

• •Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• •Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
• •Must be able to perform tasks that require reaching, pushing, pulling, and grasping.
• •Site may require extensive stair climbing.
